Beautiful spot to stay downtown! Parking was easy and we got a daily rate for our stay. There were benches, picnic tables and a paved walking trail just behind the hotel! We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go!

Noise from Hallway was disruptive, doors slamming loud voices in hallway woke us up at 6:00 am. Ice machine - warning - needs attention the entire time we were there - ice was there, but we were not going to use it if it required cleaning. Required room service spoke with front desk and issue was resolved quickly. Never understand why parking is not included in room fees - understand charge for visitor, but patron parking should be included in the fee

Very cozy room overlooking the river, excellent staff, and really nice pool, hot tub and gym. Building is almost 80 years old so there are some aspects they couldn't renovate that show their age like the stairwells, etc. but it's kind of part of the charm. Was so convenient to see a show right across the street and was really close to everything. First time in Freddy but won't be my last I loved it!

Being a history buff, we wanted to stay at the Beaverbrook for obvious reasons. Sadly, it was generally a disappointment. The entry interior was very nice for a building of that era. However, the general sidewalk area in the front cab dropoff area was not user-friendly. The actual reception area looked like an afterthought in a corner, though the staff were friendly enough. THe condition of the rooms and public area was not very appealing, i.e, dents in the elevator doorways, standard Crowne Plaza furniture in the room had peeling veneers. Towels were a joke, small, worn and very scratchy. The instant-disolving tp also was not user friendly. We expected better from a Crowne Plaza Hotel.

Good but a bit dated

Decent room. Good AC. Gym was basic and needs more machines (lots of cardio equipment). Nice pool. Shower wouldn't stop dripping and towel rack fell off.

Friendly efficient staff at reception. Spacious room with comfortable king size bed. We had the corner river view room which was nice. However the lighting in the room is awful, especially the bathroom. There are much brighter and warmer LED bulbs available! Otherwise good location for walking and restaurants. Ok for an overnight stay.

Great place

Great place - beautifully restored old hotel. Rooms were large, bed was very comfortable, towels were thick, water was hot and plentiful. Restaurants were excellent (dinner and breakfast) and staff was friendly and helpful.

The room and bed were comfy, but the shower temperature was not good. In the evening, it finally got warm after 5 minutes, but just barely warm. The next morning, the water was basically cold.
