I have stayed a few Tokyu Stay hotels in Japan and this particular one is not the best. It is located next to Shinkansen railway tracks and the soundproof is the worst among all the hotels I have ever stayed. You could hear train noise from the windows and exhausts. I could barely sleep at night. However the rest of the hotel was acceptable.

It’s walking distance from Hakata Station about 10mins, easily noticeable as you will walk past a park. There are 2 Lawson nearby other than that no much shopping mall and restaurant nearby. Has to rely on Hakata Station. Room is clean and not noisy at all.

The hotel room is clean and very maintained. The bed is comfortable. (This time I do not have the back pain in morning as in other hotels we have stayed in this trip.) The breakfast is very good buffet of excellent quality. Although just next to rail with trains passing by, the sound proof is good and the train sound is soft.

Very nice hotel and super nice staff. Walkable to Hakata station. My room was facing the train tracks so it got noisy at night and needed ear plugs.

Choose this Tokyu Stay only if you don't mind it being so close to the train tracks near Hakata Station. I didn't mind only because I used to live in New York City. The facilities are traditional in style (separate toilet room from shower/tub room), but easily separated by a sliding door.
