This hotel is in a wonderful location and the veiws are amazing. Everyone at this resort were very polite, from the people at the desk, the maintence man, and the restaurant staff. We had a few minor issues that were easily and quickly resolved during our stay. Please note that this place does not have an elevator, and does have steps to the rooms. I would highly reccommend this hotel to others, but I would suggest taking out a few steps and putting up a ramp for better access, or even an elevator. Thank you for your hospitality during our stay!!

We were lucky enough to get in to stay there during Oktoberfest in Galena. We got two rooms which I am sure were the last two available so they were not that big and did not have a view of the river and had small bathrooms. We had a good time there though. Enjoyed hiking around the trails in the area. Also took a ride on the alpine slide down to the river to ride the boat and rode the chair lift back up. Also played mini golf. Enjoyed the view of the river at breakfast.

The hotel room was updated and clean. The bathroom was old but very clean. The hallway leading to the indoor pool was unacceptable. I understand if they aren't using the rooms down that hall anymore, but the carpetinf was filthy and coming up in spots and the hall needed paint. Luckily, the pool was clean and a nice temperature. The activities on property were very well run and the outside of the property was well kept and decorated. Some updates to the interior would make this an excellent hotel.

This resort could definitely use some updating, carpets in the hallways were old and dingy and furniture was a little beat up, but overall it was a pleasant stay. The view was great and the rides were fun.

Ups and Downs

When we were in our original room (322), we had wasps on the window on the inside of the room which was a real downer so I requested a new room and we got moved to Room 329 which was a lot better. The beds could've been better but the overall stay was a 3.5/5 star.

Overall great stay

First trip to Galena end of September. Didn’t realize that the hotel was a bit further out from the main downtown restaurants and shops. Overall a good experience, hotels is a bit dated in some areas but some of the rooms are a bit updated. No elevator in the hotel and WiFi and phone service were a bit shotty. Beautifully decorated for fall. Great views, lots to do at the hotel. We did the Alpine slide and soaring eagle

They had a bucket catching water from a ceiling leak in the ski room/locker room. The amenities as far as the slide & ski lift are only avaliable on Saturday and Sunday which is ridiculous i dont know how they can call themselves a resort
