This property is located On a bluff directly above the Blue Ribbon trout fishing Gallatin River. Just below the epic geological formation Storm Castle cliffs . Also, we are an hour drive of the Madison and Yellowstone rivers for day trips. There are 5 forest service trailheads close by And river rafting right down the road. Located 15 miles North of big sky resort which hosts many amazing skiing; summer activities ; Golf; summitt tours; ziplines; downhill mnt. biking; farmers market; a host of restaurants. 64 miles north of the west gate to Yellowstone National Park. The adventures are endless!! This cozy cabin is newly remodeled and spotless! It has 1 queen in a private loft and queen pull out couchin the main level. Can sleep 3-4 depending. I personally oversee cleanings. The cleanliness and safety for my guests is my #1 concern ! This is idyllic location that picture simply donât do it justice. Please come and enjoy comfortable and relaxing vacation in rural Montana!!
Beautiful cabin on the river, perfect location, relaxing to grill on deck overlooking the river. Host is very kind and helpful.Stairs to loft were steep and narrowOverall great stay
Our stay was very peaceful and relaxing. The view is absolutely stunning, and the access to the river from the deck area is fun! Itâs a bit steep in some areas headed down the path, so my mom feared going down to give it a try. Additionally, the bedroom upstairs is not ideal. Iâm 27 and only 5 foot tall. It had a ladder to access that I could climb, however I hit my head on the way up on the ladder, and I felt that I only had a little space over my head in the bedroom. I came back down with no desire to go back up, and my mom opted to not try due to health issues (former stroke/fall risk). Though it seemed spacious side-to-side and peaceful overlooking the river, we opted to sleep on the pull out bed/couch which limits the cabins downstairs space severely. However, it still was very comfortable despite being a pullout bed. We made the most of the space, and ultimately enjoyed our stay though! Everything else felt clean, relaxing, etc. We even briefly passed the owner and his sweet pup as they headed out to the river as well!
The scenery is absolutely beautiful. The view of the mountains is breathtaking. The cabin is quaint and cute. The only cons about this place is that the bedroom is upstairs and the ladder to get up there is very steep so we never slept up there for the fear of falling when going downstairs to use bathroom. I am 69 and my husband is 71 we consider ourselves in pretty good shape but that was a bit much! We slept in the sofa bed which took up a lot of the space. It was a bit tight. The other thing is the toilet sits very low which was a bit uncomfortable. The stairs to go down the river are very steep as well. So we spent most of our time on patio. Overall it was nice and peaceful. Sleeping with the windows open was a plus!!
Great spot if you're looking for a taste of real Montana. Small cabin over looking the Gallatin River. The cabin was perfect for what I was looking for. Right in between downtown and Big Sky resort. The owner was responsive and accommodating. I'll defiantly be staying again if available.
We stayed here for our honeymoon and it was everything we wanted. Trails conveniently near the cabin. You can hear the river with the windows open. Overall amazed by this cabin
My brother's and I recently stayed at the Storm Castle Cabin and above all, enjoyed the peacefulness of the this quaint, little cabin. I had stayed there several years ago and found it to be one of my favorite places to stay in Montana, since first coming to fish the Treasure State 54 years ago. The kitchen, along with the grill, has just enough of everything to prepare meals, while lounging on the rear deck, which looks over the Gallatin River and across the way to the magnificent cliffs, among the storied spruce tress, revealing a thousand faces in the rock; the beauty of it is some of the most spectacular n all of Montana. I (we) look forward to returning there next year for our 30 consecutive fishing trip Montana. Thanks, Ian!

Overall delightful but the loft stairs up and down at night to the restroom were tricky for us and were both in great shape. Other than it's a wonderful cabin. Knowing what we know we would still stay again if given the opportunity.
Beautiful property and cozy cabin! Felt very warm and welcome.
Constructive criticism: make note of stairs that lead up to loft for indivuals who may not be able to get up them.
Thank you again,
AJ and Liana
My wife and I enjoyed a few days of our honeymoon trip here. The cabin was so cozy and a perfect getaway after such a busy season of our life. The view was spectacular and the cabin was clean and quiet!
