Welcome to Stairway to Heaven — a truly unique Smoky Mountain retreat,
nestled on a dead end street with no thru traffic & situated less than 800 ft from the National Forest border and abundance of wildlife. Perfectly located just 1 mile from Ober Mountain and 1.4 miles from downtown Gatlinburg and the entrance to the Smoky Mountain National Park.

Stairway to Heaven is a three bedroom log cabin located on Ski Mountain’s highly desirable Chalet Village area. Unlike resort or communities, our cabin is on 1.6 acres offering great privacy, spacious paved parking and a nice flat yard for kids to enjoy.

Tastefully decorated, Stairway to Heaven has all the amenities you desire. There are three distinct, fully furnished king master suites, one on each level with private full bathrooms, as well as Roku smart TV’s in every room. The cabin comfortably sleeps 10 with a queen sleeper sofa in the loft and another queen sleeper sofa in the living room.

The cabin is equipped with all the amenities you’d find at home. The kitchen is stocked with everything you would expect in a normal kitchen, including blender, toaster, slow cooker, various size pots & pans, wine glasses, a Keurig, and a regular coffee pot.

The game room includes a custom pool table, pinball, race game, 60 game arcade, Connect 4 and corn hole game. Unwind in the hot tub or swing on the porch while taking in the natural surroundings from 3 spacious decks. Spend some time outside roasting marshmallows in the fire pit or grilling on the charcoal grill and maybe get glimpse of a bear or more.

This is our personal cabin, so you will receive personal attention, unlike that of Rental/Management companies. Please feel free to reach out to us with any questions, we're happy to help you plan as best we can.

Fantastic location very close to the main strip in Gatlinburg, but still remote. One of the very few places with a flat yard to enjoy if you have kids. House is very roomy with 3 master suites and a nice open kitchen living room area. We did see 3 bears the last day as they walked basically 40 yards away from us up the side hill which was very cool. Would definitely stay again.

We stayed with our kids and their spouses and just had a wonderful time. The place was perfect for our needs. We especially loved the hot tub and outdoor fire pit. It was nice for everyone to have a king bed and their own bathroom. We would definitely stay there again. Great cabin feel!!

We loved our stay here and our daughters wished we could have stayed longer. The location is fantastic with close proximity to the park entrance as well as downtown Gatlinburg, but removed enough to be peaceful. I had to reach out a few times with questions to Vivian and Frank and they were incredibly responsive. Thanks for a great stay.

Bearably Amazing!!!

We’ve been to the area several times and absolutely loved this cabin!!! The location was great and the amenities were plentiful. To top it off, we saw more bears in the first two days than we’ve seen in all of the years combined. Please note…they really do know how to open car doors (we found this out by accidentally leaving the doors unlocked on the last day). The cabin layout was great, beds were comfortable, location was convenient. Things we did…Hillbilly Golf, Ole Reds restaurant, Pirate Voyage Dinner show, Wildside UTV tour, Aquarium, Grotto Falls, white water rafting, Jason Aldean’s Rooftop Bar, Rocky Top Apline Coasters, Shamrock’s Pub,. The Island, walked around Gatlinburg, hanging out at the cabin playing pinball, pool, and the hot tub. Highly recommend Crockett’s Breakfast Camp The only negative…we didn’t have more time because the time files there. Word of advice…if you’re doing an adult night, uber is cheaper than parking prices and no worries about driving on dark, winding roads. 100% recommend.

but I didn’t lock it. Fortunately, she only messed up the console.

Great cabin

This cabin was extremely clean. The beds were very comfortable. Appreciated that the cabin had everything we needed including extra supplies. I very much enjoyed sitting out on deck swing and seeing bears daily. There was a momma bear and two cubs that hung out in the yard - the two cubs played around and it was such a sight to see. The road leading to cabin was narrow but we managed it fine. I would recommend this cabin and would stay again.

Great trip. Cabin was everything we expected. Clean, well stocked, beds are so comfortable! I had a bear in my car the first night and then I finally saw the fridge sticker….. mama bear and cubs came to visit 2nd day followed by a bear saying goodbye on the last.

Perfect quick getaway

We booked this cabin for a quick getaway and it was perfect!!This was our 4th visit to the area. We hope to return one day. It’s close to town, yet nestled in the trees. Plenty of space inside and outside. The house was very clean, beautifully decorated, and the beds were really comfortable!!! Not one hiccup, we hope to return one day.
