The Admiral House is a large home close to all that the Driftless region in Wisconsin has to offer. World class fishing, abundant hiking and biking nearby, boat landings and many other outdoor activities. La Crosse is nearby with its historic downtown and many festivals throughout the year. The house has a large yard with games for the kids and room for the dogs.
Outdoor area with grill and picnic table. Bring your boat, kayak or canoe and explore the river with its many backwaters. Full kitchen with all things necessary to prepare meals, if cooking isn't your thing many supper clubs and restaurants nearby. Clements Fishing Barge, a historic icon on the river, is a local fishing resort located within half mile. Situated within steps of Captain Hook's Bait and Tackle giving you access to ice, beer, pop and sporting goods.

We had a very nice time at The Admiral House. The owners were very friendly and provided all of the comforts you need when staying away from home. We also spent time fishing out on Clements Fishing Barge, which is very close by.

Thanksgiving family get together

The home worked out very well for our family get together. Plenty of space in kitchen and living for the group. Only hitch was we did not get the check-in instructions in advance due to email failure which delayed our entry.

Home Sweet Home

From the moment you enter the property you feel like it's home. Updated throughout, you get the feeling like you're in Grandma's house. Clean and spacious, you can't wait for your vacation to begin. Kitchen is well laid out, big dinning room, and the living room has an electric fireplace with a Smart TV. Two bedrooms downstairs with full bathroom and 4 bedrooms upstairs with another full bathroom. All the beds are comfortable. Large driveway for parking multiple vehicles. Highly recomend, can't wait to go back.

500 club bowling tournament

Property and owner were just wonderful. Had 8 women all competing on La Crosse for tournament and had a wonderful time. Only suggestion might be to have some larger cookware since home can easily accommodate 12.

Awesome place for a group!

We were in town for a UW-L alumni weekend. We have small children so this place was perfect - cost effective, spacious, and close enough to campus to make it to our events. The rooms were all comfortable and the location on the river is beautiful!

Convenient and Comfortable Location

We needed a place to sleep 10 people near Stoddard and this house fit the bill perfectly. The property was exactly as it was listed and had great common areas for gathering as a group. Would recommend for anyone coming to the area with a large group.

Great space for extended family gathering
