No Frills No Fuss

Room was as expected for this type of accommodation. There was a terrible smell in the bathroom, we covered all the drains and ran some water which made it ok until the next day when it happened again. The bathroom needs to be redone but the shower had good water pressure. We stayed in the family room which had a bit of extra space over the standard room but have also stayed here in the standard room before. The bed was comfortable, the bedding was all clean and crisp. The staff are very helpful and friendly. There is no breakfast available even though the hotels.com site says there is.

I have marked my review down as when I entered the unit the bleach smell was strong. I opened all the windows and went for tea. The smell was a little less with the window open all night. My husband said that there was mould on the roof in the shower compartment, so they would have been trying to get that off. This was room 7. I wondered about the other reviews as they were quite high for this motel.

Shower leaking, puddle around floor waste when I arrived, still there overnight. Water dripping from bathroom exhaust above toilet. Smoke detector flashing red all night long, kept me awake.

Very good value older style motel

An overnight stay and chosen for the low cost. Older style but well maintained. Winter is cold in Gilgandra but good heating and a nice hot shower. Easy walk to town centre and riverside walk. Quiet at night

This property does not state it is pet friendly. I saw a man take a large dog into his room. The shower had cracked tiles and it needs a good clean. The lady at reception was friendly. The bed was very comfortable and the air conditioner worked well. Over the property needs a lot of cleaning and maintenance.
