Private 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath home on 2 acres overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains

This is a nature lover’s dream vacation home. In the heart of the Shenandoah Valley enjoy views of the Blue Ridge Mountains from the back porch and the Allegheny Mountains from the front porch! This 3 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath mid-century home has had extensive renovations to include all the modern comforts you’ve come to expect in a vacation home. 10 minutes to grocery shopping or Natural Bridge. 15 minutes to historic Lexington and W&L and VMI universities. Great hiking trails and rivers nearby too! Home is equipped with electrical and septic hookup and a driveway big enough for an RV.

We welcome your four legged canine friends to Firefly Inn but we ask that they remain outside so as to avoid allergy issues with future guests. There is a pavilion to provide shelter from inclement weather. There are acres of fenced in yard for them to play and explore but Firefly Inn is not responsible for any injured pets or ones that may escape from the yard.

Loved my stay at the Firefly Inn. property and scenery was a huge bonus. We were in the area for hiking and it was the perfect spot to relax at after a long day of trail stomping. I loved that there were automatic night lights on the property. I don't like complete darkness.Also loved that there was a single cup coffee maker and a mini pot coffee maker. Definitely would choose to stay here next time I am in the area for hiking.

This property was perfect for us.It was clean and well furnished. Our grandson loved playing with all the toy trucks and cars they have. Hubby and I enjoyed the master bedroom with the sleep number bed. We had our sons dogs with us and they really enjoyed getting to run free in the fenced backyard. They did get baby ticks, but that is to be expected that close to cow pastures. I highly recommend this property.

This is a very nice house, especially inside. The owners take good care of it. The views out front and back are amazing. The hosts do a fantastic job communicating. The house was ready to be stayed in when we got there. It's in a very rural area, but "city living" is only about 15 minutes away. We visited the Virginia Safari while we were there. That is a very enjoyable activity, especially if you like animals. Having large animals come right to your car is a lot of fun. Good activity to keep in mind. We very much enjoyed our stay!

We had an amazing stay at this rental! The views were stunning. We were up to watch the sunrise from the back porch every morning! The whole house was updated nicely and super cute considering the price. The host was very quick responding and personable. We ran out of trash bags and he dropped some off within 30 minutes. It's a great place for kids with lots of games, toys, a PS2 and a few outdoor toys. Pink Cadillac Diner was the spot for dinner!

The property is amazing, nice beds, and the massage chair, wow! Could not get the dishwasher to work but the scenery and the drive was wonderful, we slept 6 comfortably, and had great communication with the host.

AMAZING STAY

THE VIEW!!!

We absolutely loved this property! It doesn’t matter if you walk out front or out back, you have an amazing view. You really don’t have to leave the property if you don’t want to. But if you do, there’s a ton of fun outdoor activities in the area. We will be back!

Effortless saty

Michael was an amazing host, from letting us know before arrival that they had left the windows cracked for us to make sure the house was comfortable in the fall temps for this time of year to the little touches around the house that were thoughtful of situations that may arrive. I definitely recommend The Fire Fly Inn to anyone traveling to the Bueno Vista Area. We will certainly be back if our son decides to attend SVU.

This property was everything it advertised. It exceeded our expectations. Convenient to the Blue Ridge Parkway and Interstate 81. Quiet, super clean, well cared for home.

Not handicap friendly

I suggest that at least one of the bathrooms should be handicap accessible. Also the front entrance needs an additional step. It is somewhat difficult for seniors to step up and down the steps to either gain entrance or to exit the home. A small dining room table should be placed in the kitchen to make it easier for a small family to sit down and enjoy their meals . I strongly advise that the issues above be rectified so as to bring the property up to codes. Doing so may prevent a lawsuit in the future .

Cute Cottage w/ Mountain Views

This little farmhouse is as cozy as it could be. It was ideal for our family retreat with 3 bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths. The home offers beautiful mountain views, goats grazing out back, and all the modern conveniences of home! We truly enjoyed our stay!!
