It was ok. Check in/check out was a breeze. It’s nothing special. Kitchen was newer everything else is out dated and old. Definitely not the most comfortable furniture if you’re staying for a while, it seems like everything was just put in there to occupy space. Most of the windows are screwed shut so even on a nice day you can’t open them and get good air flow but there are a few small air conditioners that kept it cool. Screen in living room was broken and almost all of the smaller knives in the block had broken tips. Bathtub liner was covered with mold and unglued from the bottom of tub (I reached out and was told “ Hello, thank you for contacting us about this. I will be informing the local team of this so that they could be able to assist you further with this” and never heard anything about it again.) the driveway is kind of a pain to pull in and out of. It says “beach access” the beach access is 4 minutes away which is no problem it’s a short walk, the road is a highway but there’s plenty of room to walk down the side of the road without being on the road. There is a grill and a small yard and a table and chairs outback to hangout in which was nice. Overall it was a good experience, I probably won’t stay here again but it was a nice little getaway.

Did not get to stay here as they canceled 3 days peior to leaving due to fumigation needs. Had to find somewhere else to stay on last minute in October for salem. I cannot give stars but i am required to select so only selecting 1

Untimely cancellation

My reservation was canceled by the owner 4 hour prior to check in when we were already on the road. When I called the property management, they didn’t even try or offer another property or any compensation for inconvenience, just the money back. It’s not just inconvenient but super stressful for anyone, needless to say for a mom with.3 kids already on the road.

Lovely on the outside , dark heavy musty smell on inside . Bathroom and kitchen are updated & nice aside from moldy shower curtain in bathroom . There was not comfortable place to sit or sleep. Old hard mattresses , uncomfortable old furniture. Poor ventilation, many windows don’t even open . The stairs to the upstairs are treacherous. Walking to the beach is very dangerous as the road is 2 lane highway.

Enjoyed Our Stay

We had a great time at the cottage. It was awesome to be able to walk to a beach (carefully along a busy street with no sidewalk). The negatives: the cottage is small, the stairs a bit treacherous, the wiring upstairs a bit sketchy. The positives: the space is maximized nicely, the kitchen works well, and it was clean. We were 4 adults and 2 toddlers and would stay again.

Small, outdated uncomfortable furniture. Dirty living room rug that was a tripping hazard. Partial AC (1 window unit on 1st floor) not adequate. Updated kitchen was well equipped. Staircase to the second floor is narrow and steep.

Nice cottage

A basic old cottage, fine for short stays. Has a basic kitchen with most cookware you’d need, new appliances. Bathroom is small, but newly remodeled. chairs and toys provided in the shed were nice for trips to the nearby beach. The beach is short walking distance, (beach parking is $30 otherwise) One downside is the road the cottage is on can be busy during the day. No laundry, but a laundromat is nearby if needed.
