Hi - if we get any surveys about our accommodation at The Star please give it a 0 out of 5 rating… They didn’t service my room even though i pressed the service button in the morning. Out of x 4 nights it was serviced once. they didn’t give any replacements of anything except a soap bar, rubbish bins weren’t emptied… Concierge team were wonderful we wanted a meeting room for 1.5 hours and they wanted to charge $700 which was apparently half price - yet there were no people anywhere near any of the meeting rooms… Frankly never want to stay there again please

Staff and hotel manager very rude. Stayed for 4 nights staff don’t have set policies and procedures and are rude to customers. Called me dodgy because I had booked my friend in under my name. Hotel manager lady very rude and unprofessional! Would definitely not recommend staying here! Considering we stayed for 4 nights total disappointment!

The property is a wonderful place to relax, the pool area and spa and gym,are beautiful and clean, the property is very well maintained and close to everything, even have a bbq area which is good.

We stayed for 2 weeks and we liked the price and location. It would have been nice if the room was cleaned twice a week especially staying that long. And 1 towel per person for a week I don’t think is enough. It was fairly clean. Wish I was up one level so I could have used the Balcony and had a bit of a view. It was strange that the desk closed so early as well but maybe that’s Australia. I know some places they are open 24/7 The hot tub wasn’t very hot

The staff were great, friendly and helpful but I wouldn't call this a hotel. They have good facilities like the pool, spa and sauna but also no bar, no restaurant, no café. You have no phone in your room. The sheets are not changed (you can pay for a room service). Beds are not made. You have to empty your own rubbish. I've never experienced this at any other 4 star and I don't expect this of a 4 star hotel but maybe in Australia 4 stars are given just for amenities. But as I say, staff were lovely.

The hotel understood my concerns about the traffic noise and my request to move to a quieter room. However they said: As our property is located in the heart of Surfers Paradise, right on the main road, some level of noise is unfortunately unavoidable due to the central location. My response: I was not prepared to pay more to move.

Just having a week away - weather could have been better. Well placed for transport, apart from the 711 not much in the way of food. Unfortunately the hotel restaurant was only open at weekends.

Bathroom falls

Another lady from England had the same bad fall as I did in the bathroom, where there was no rubber mat to avoid slipping. Not good for her as she had a long flight back with aching leg and back; whereas I had medicare to get to chiro.

About a 4 min walk to the beach but no beach views unfortunately. Great facilities - pool, sap, sauna, gym. Right by a busy main road so a bit noisy. But otherwise happy.
