Really great villa with character and style! The pool area is fantastic and there are lots of rooms, but only 2 bathrooms, so make sure you're happy to share. 2 small but functional kitchens made cooking simple things doable.Maria was communicative and helpful before and during our stay - she was lovely enough to buy us some groceries ahead of time as we were arriving late. If you're staying, I'd advise bringing some consumables as shops are far away. It would have been nice to have more cleaning supplies too, but Maria is always on hand to help out.Location wise, it is about 25 minutes taxi from town. But be aware that you may have to wait a bit to get a bolt/Uber, so it is useful to plan in advance (or rent a car)
Five American couples who hoped that this house would provide a comfortable get away were regrettably disappointed. Itâs a story of miscommunication but, alas, also a misleading vrbo post.In terms of outdoor amenities, the property largely lived up to its billing. The site has an appealing view and nice poolside area. If youâre looking for a large home to enjoy outdoor dining and swimming, this might be worth a look. Though the conditions inside the house are worth noting. Some of these faults might be cultural - beds with fitted sheets but no top sheet - but some fall short of minimal standards of hospitality. The mismatched bath towels were musty. The duvet covers and pillowcases were stale and scratchy. The showers are a pair of cramped, step-down bath basins with sprayers mounted on the walls. Those sprayers donât quite affix and one of them leaks so getting freshened up involves some labor. When the windows are open, the home can catch a nice breeze. When the windows are closed, an odor permeates the downstairs. After one night in the home, half our party (6 people) decided that they could not stay. One couple found it impossible to sleep on a pull out sofa fitted with only a three-inch mattress - a room described in the listing as having a âdouble bedâ. The another couple with allergies was disappointed that the host didnât explain a house cat and dog would be wandering freely in and out of the house. The accommodation wasnât worth 4,000 USDs for 5 nights.
