Séjour décevant
Publié le 25 avr. 2019 sur HotelsCet hôtel est bien tenu et offre une vue superbe sur son environnement mais nous avons été déçus par les prestations : un chemin d'accès en terre non entretenu (ornières) et sans éclairage (sans problème en été sans doute mais bien boueux en avril rendant la conduite compliquée surtout de nuit), dans la chambre : pas une chaise et pas de table, une salle de bains petite, aucun moyen de se faire un café dans la salle commune (et pas de cafetière dans la chambre), petit déjeuner parcimonieux (2 chambres occupées lors de notre séjour, pour 4 adultes au total : un peu de pain de mie et des baggels mais 1 seul yaourt dans le frigo et 2 oranges disponibles. Bilan décevant, hôtel très cher pour ce qui est offert (le cadre).

We enjoyed having you stay with us! April is definitely mud season in Maine as everything melts and thaws. At the end of every spring we have the road smoothed back out for summer. For breakfast we have a waffle maker, an assortment of bagels, english muffins, toast, homemade warm muffins that were blueberry chocolate chip while you stayed with us, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, oatmeal and three different cereals, OJ, fresh coffee, milk and hot water for tea. We also had homemade whoopie pies out for our guests too. When we only have a couple of guests staying at the inn, which is very common during slow season, we only put a set four bagels, four english muffins, etc. We are very happy you enjoyed the view, it is a beautiful one! And we hope you had time to walk down to our beautiful shoreline. Our guests are always welcome to call if they ever need coffee made during the off hours (Coffee is out 7am-11am). We hope you had a safe trip back home and thank you again for staying with us.

Very quiet cabin, perfect for 5-6 people to spend a long weekend or even a week. Although Acadia is a good 50 minute away, I would not hesitate to stay here if visiting Bar Harbor region again.

Stunning view and nice picnic tables to sit. Would have been nice to have a fire in the fire pit but it was filled with water and there were mosquitoes swarming the Adirondack chairs.
Also it was difficult to sit in other chairs provided bc they were soaked from rain.

On the plus side; Fantastic view. Comfortable bed.
On the minus side; Internet in Room 8 was non-usable due to inadequate signal.
Had to carry bags up steep stairs - no desk person to help.
Ice not available
No TV in room or common area.
No small fridge in room.
Only 2 bath towels provided for 2 people on 2 night stay.
Very small bathroom.
Not well soundproofed.
No hair dryer.
Not worth the price that we paid.

Thanks for staying Steve. If you arrive late there isn’t anyone at the desk to help. Front desk and cleaners are there during the entire day if you need extra blankets. WiFi works great but as stated since the storm the whole area is having difficulty. Glad you enjoyed the view though.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this rustic but very comfortable lodge. Appreciated the informative texts, the nice continental breakfast, and the comfortable bed. The view from the terrace is majestic! Hunter was very helpful and friendly.

The best view with nice cozy room.Had a great stay and would love to come back .
Don is easy and friendly to talk to , he made sure we get to our room safely and easily for a late check in .

Homey Inn in the Woods
Publié le 5 oct. 2023 sur HotelsIt was an amazing stay nestled in the woods of Maine. It had a beautiful overlook, unfortunately it was cloudy the 2 nights we stayed there and we didn’t get to see the beautiful sunsets.

The view from the inn and cabins was beautiful. The owner/staff couldn’t be nicer. The cabins are not large but were absolutely what we were looking for. If you’re looking for a nice quiet/peaceful getaway then I’d highly recommend checking out the Bluff House Inn. Only thing to know in advance is that the inn is located a decent drive (~40 mins) away from Acadia and Bar Harbor area if you are looking to do that, but is very close to the Schoodic side of Acadia.
