Backyard relaxation area with grill and mature trees for shade. Located 15 minutes from Possum Kingdom lake and 15 min from historic Mineral Wells, home of Crazy Water. Mineral Wells State Park, Possum Kingdom State Park, Mineral Wells Fossil Park and gorgeous scenery await your visit.
Holt River Ranch is a working cattle ranch and has been in the same family since 1906.  Situated in the historic Post Oak Bend of the Brazos River, references to Post Oak Bend and the Ranch are found in historical texts and literature. John Graves mentions Post Oak Bend several times in his classic book ”Goodbye to a River”. Mention is also made in Mary Whatley Clarke’s book “Palo Pinto Story”. A lesser known book, “Post-Pioneers” by Juanita Lewis Hindman, devotes much of the book to life on the Holt River Ranch during the 1920′s. At one time numerous Indian tribes lived along the four miles of Brazos River frontage bordering the ranch.

We had the very best time! We had a group of families staying together for Rocker B and it couldn’t have been better. Short drive to the fields, such a perfect house for a large family or group of families, Mandy was so accommodating - it was a wonderful experience!

The house was very spacious and very very clean. The owner was very helpful and personally called us to let us know that there was bad weather in the area to make sure we were safe which was very much appreciated. Would definitely stay here again.

The pictures don’t even come close to showing how amazing this place is! The house is surrounded by pastures, super quiet, and so relaxing. At night the stars were gorgeous. The house was spotless, really spacious, and the bed was super comfy. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the outdoor space was awesome—the kids had a blast playing games and we loved sitting around the fire pit. The host was also super responsive and easy to communicate with. We’d definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!

Great spot when in town for Rocker B

Our 8u team was in town for a baseball tournament at Rocker B. We had a great stay! The house was great to hold several families and we also hosted a team dinner where we cooked out and played cornhole, wiffle ball and cooked out smores in the fire pit! It was a great weekend and really appreciated the flexible checkout based on the tournament schedule.

Baseball tournament

This house was amazing and perfect for our weekend. We were playing at Rocker B for the weekend and this house was 10 minutes from the fields. The host is extremely nice and very quick with communication. We had 14 people in this house and were very comfortable. I highly recommend staying here is you are looking for something in the area!!

Great weekend!

We had a wonderful weekend! The house was so much fun for the kids. The bunk room was the perfect place for the kids to hang out. The house was perfectly equipped for cooking and grilling.

Rocker B Fun

This house is great! Very clean, and very peaceful. Large home with great ranch views and less than 10 minutes to Rocker B Ranch for baseball. Sleeps a ton of people and ease of communication with the owner. We loved our time here and will definitely stay again! Highly recommend!

Better than advertised!

It's rare that I get to a property and think "wow, this is better than the listing," but that was the case here! Plenty of space for our group of family and friends, a stocked kitchen and comfortable accommodations. Mandy was super communicative and understanding of our baseball schedule (we were there for a Rocker B tournament). We'll definitely be back!

Our Stay

The property was amazing!!! We stayed two nights with our family and close friends. Our boys were playing at Rocker B for a baseball tournament. The owner’s were very nice and easy to work with. We loved our stay and short drive to the ball fields. Highly recommend staying here. We will be back!
