Excellent communication with the property owners, including free transfers to and from the port. Brilliant location less than 5 minutes walk from Agios Prokopios beach and close to supermarket and bus stop. Fridge and kitchenette were particularly useful and we cooked simple meals. The pool was brilliant and we had a wonderful relaxing stay.

Very clean Hotel in a great location. Nice swimming pool and only a short walk to many tavernas and bars.. Maria was lovely and bent over backwards to make us welcome.

Great location, wonderful staff!

Pros: Pool, location, a/c, patio, amazing staff, incredible views, kitchen in our room.
Cons: The main bed was not very comfortable (extremely hard), and the bathroom has a sit-down, handheld shower (shown in hotel pictures) with no curtain.
We had a lovely experience. Our room (#4) was spacious - it was nice that the kids had their own room and we had ours. The view of the pool and the ocean/mountains was spectacular; having coffee on the patio in the morning was my favourite time of day. The location cannot be beat - 5 min walk to the beach down a path from the hotel, avoiding the busy road through town. The staff is also amazing and went the extra mile to make our stay pleasant, and the pool is fantastic - especially the amount of lounge chairs in the shade. They picked us up and dropped us off at the ferry, which was very helpful, and Maria kept giving us free snacks. The kids didn't want to leave, and neither did we!

Όλα ήταν τέλεια. Η Φιλοξενία από το ξενοδοχείο ήταν θαυμάσια. Να σε καλά Μαρία και Γιώργο. Σας Ευχαριστούμε για όλα.

Really torn -- things we loved and ... not so much

Posted Aug. 12, 2014 on Hotels
What we loved: Maria and George. Great hosts. Maria especially seemed like she was always working. They definitely put their personal, physical effort into giving guests good service. The proximity to the little town. So convenient! So many restaurant choices, etc. The overall ambiance. So nice and laid back! Family friendly, low key. Exactly what we wanted from that standpoint. What we liked: the beach town itself. Agios Prokopios. The beach was quite nice (although one day we discovered a couple others that were at least as nice). What we didn't like: the particular area of the beach The Colosseo can be found. A bit pebblier than closer to town, which is offset by it being quieter, which is nice. What we hated: The smell from the swampy area. It permeated everything! I think there were other places we walked by frequently (walking through the town) that had similar proximity to the beach, but without that awful smell because they were positioned differently. And because the Colosseo hangs all the laundry out to dry (sheets, towels, etc) everything has that smell. Can't get away from it. The "shower". It's really an extra large washtub with a little seat, with what amounts to a hose attached to the wall near by. So the setting was bad. And there was no water pressure at all -- really much like a weak garden hose. And there was very limited hot water. Here's how bad it was -- after leaving Naxos we got on a Blue Star Ferry and all took showers on board, and we all thought the lousy ferry shower was absolutely delightful.

Thank you for coming on Naxos and Colosseo star! we will be glad to see you again! The smell of the lakes is only when you pass the lakes, this smell rare come to the hotel (sometimes you could smell it on the beach but not at the hotel, this is because of the wind, i think this summer there was not smell at the hotel) , the sheets and the towels definitely don't smell otherwise we would use the dryer because all the guests would have problem if there were bad smell on the sheets and the towels! Maybe the weather bother you, as there were moisture especially the nights, this happens in all Naxos , not only at the hotel! Naxos has lack of water and the summer is really difficult as the island is crowded of people, so there is limited water when there is a lot of use at the same time, this also happens everywhere not only at the hotel!
