A little gem

This was my 2nd visit & the only issue was that I only went for 1 week. This is a small family run self catering hotel. The rooms have what you would expect from a Greek apartment. The cooking facilities are limited to a fridge, kettle, 2 electric hotplates, cutlery, plates, cups - enough to make breakfast or a snack, but not a full meal. Saying that, the food in the hotel is excellent & well priced. There are a number of small restaurants & bars along the main road & in the square, certainly enough to eat somewhere different almost every day of a 2 week stay. The hotel is at one end of the main road, which can be busy & is not that well lit. The hotel offer different entertainment most nights, including Bingo, quizzes, Karaoke, live music & team work very hard to make you feel welcome & will help out with any requests you have if they can. There is not much to do for families in the area except the hotel pool, but it's great for a couple or friends looking for a relaxing holiday with entertainment thrown in. If you choose to join in, then you will be well rewarded with fun & laughter all the way.

Very difficult to find. Also you have to pay extra for air conditioning. Not a fancy hotel by any means and it is atleat a kilometer walk to the beach. No fridge in the room. Not the frendliest attitude by any stretch of the imagination. Outside location poor.Also people partying till 11 pm in night Travel into Rohodes takes close to 45 minutes

Good value for money

If you want good value for money this is the hotel for you. The hotel is what you would expect from a 2/3 star, a little tired in places, but made up for by the excellent attitude of the staff. Very relaxed and friendly attitudes make the place work and feel homely. The town is pleasant quite with a few restaurants worth visiting. Beach lovely and quite a bit of a walk, but there is a land train that will take you from outside the hotel gates. Good base to visit Rhodes town and other attractions

It was ok. Nothing more or less.

Stayed at Golden apart for 1 week with my brother and partner. Overall it was ok but would rate it a 2 star. The pool was probably the most up to date at the hotel. Small room and bathroom. Not exactly clean when we arrived. It smelled a bit but that part got better when we paid extra for air condition. The staff was however friendly and helpful.

УЖАСНОЕ МЕСТО! Грязный номер, требует ремонта, крохотная ванная комната в которой невозможно нормально развернуться. Интернет работает очень плохо и за него нужно платить. Кондиционер платный. Очень много комаров, которые не давали спать всю ночь. Всю ночь раздавались ужасающие инфернальные крики петухов, собак, ослов, и Бог знает еще кого, которые смешивались в один кошмарный вой и так продолжалось до рассвета

Hotel Golden Days in Afandou

Onestamente lo trovo un die stelle tendente ad un 3 stelle + . Cortesissimi, affabili, ambiente tranquillo (almeno nel periodo di Ottobre), occorre un mezzo per recarsi alla vicina spiaggia di Afandou (che dista un chilometro circa) ma é servità dalla statale Rodi - Lindos (Costa Est, la più balneabile), che é praticamente attigua alla struttura (che però non é disturbata dai rumori di transito dei veicoli, essendo tra l'altro posizionata più in alto rspetto alla statale). Per me rapporto qualità prezzo = 10 e lode.

Struttura buona, ma al mattino dalle 7 c'è una luce e un caldo che non permette di dormire bene a causa dell'assenza di persiane/tapparelle... attenzione all'aria condizionata che c'è ma si paga (a noi è stato detto solo il penultimo giorno) e comunque non raffresca abbastanza. Come oscurante c'è solo 1 tenda che lascia comunque passare la luce. Personale simpatico, molto disponibile. Cucina buona. Nel complesso il prezzo è poco e adeguato alla struttura, per chi vuole spendere poco e sa adattarsi. Ottimo punto di partenza per le escursioni sull'isola.

Biancheria pulita che cambiano giornalmente comprensiva di pulizie. Ottima la disponibilità del personale, ottimo il punto di snodo per visitare tutta l' isola ed ottimo il rapporto qualità prezzo. Unico neo l' eccessiva esposizione alla luce delle camere che hanno poca copertura da mattina a sera. Quelli che vorrebbero + di un tre stelle dovrebbero spendere cifre maggiori e fare minori lamentele. Per considerarsi viaggiatori, deve essersi anche viaggiatori.

Un ottimo punto di partenza per visitare l isola,l hotel è ben tenuto e pulito ed è in una zona ben ventilata! Il personale è gentile,disponibile e sono tutti molto simpatici! La piscina non è enorme ma pulita.Lo consigliamo a tutti, famiglie,coppie e ragazzi in cerca di divertimento!!!!
