Dark rooms, not exact as on photos
Publié le 12 août 2019 sur HotelsPhotos of the room are composition of several rooms with excellent light. In real room is dark with view from windows -> see photos. Our accommodation was alone besides ruins.
Breakfast was pretty good and also service.

DEAR Dusan, thank you for your review. as i told you each accommodation is different. our project is to renovate old houses the same style as it used to be. VORNO guest house is one of our big Cretan traditional houses. Most of our clients enjoyed very match because is quiet and with a lot of extra facilities, like prive parking place, washing machine etc.

Don't let the quaint pictures fool you! First off, we picked this place because it was advertised with a restaurant/ taverna, which we told was closed when we arrived. Although the check in experience was wonderful (beer and cookies in an adorable reception area), the buildings next to the lodgings were all run down. While we intended to stay two nights, we left after one when my husband told me there was a mouse nibbling in our mattress while we were sleeping! I emailed the owner to complain and get my money back for the second night but I never heard back!

First of all, our restaurant was closed because it was still winter and for this it only works on a weekend and on holidays. You came Wednesday and Thursday.
However, we gave you the alternative to prepare your food and we also offered you various but our restaurants.
I'm sorry you did not enjoy your stay.
When I welcomed you at the reception, I gave you my mobile phone and I told you in every case if you need anything you can call me. So it made us feel that if you found such an unfortunate fact you did not notify us. you also suddenly left without even saying goodbye to you.
As far as the nearby dilapidated houses are concerned, I explained to you that we are renovating old historic houses in the whole settlement. This is very important for our society and all our visitors welcome it. We are not a hotel unit. We are a traditional guesthouse. Thank you

Schönes Zimmer, aber sehr kalt

Pour : Der griechische Salat und die Art der Zimmer.
Contre : DIE HEIZUNG !
Emplacement : In der Lassithi- Ebene. Es gibt gute Wanderwege.
Das Zimmer war wirklich sehr schön, aber die Heizung funktionierte nicht. Es war Anfang Oktober und sehr kalt draußen. Die Zimmer verfügten über eine Heizung, die aber nicht funktionierte. Angeblich funktioniert diese erst nach der Olivenernte!? Auch das Restaurant konnte nicht beheizt werden. Das Abendessen war alles andere als gemütlich. Nur im Bett war es warm.
Das Abendessen im Hotel war, mit Ausnahme des hervorragenden griechischen Salates, nur lauwarm.
Im Sommer mag alles besser sein, aber ab Oktober wohl eher nicht zu empfehlen.
Trotz alledem sind die Gastgeber sehr nett.

In the morning you will hear cocks waking the village, goats' bells gently ringing on the way to pasture or back home. Glorious sun in the morning just above the mountains gets you going. Food in Vilaeti taverna is very good, try Greek salad as in my opinion it's the best in Crete. The facility itself is comfortable and you will have everything you need for your stay. Enjoy.

sehr erholsamer Aufenthaltsort in den Bergen, alles war perfekt, die Ferienwohnungen sind in sehr alten Steinhäusern hübsch und komfortabel gestaltet und daher etwas ganz besonderes. Außerdem war das Frühstück und das Abendessen besonders lecker.
