Superbe, Vue, Équipements, Accueil

Une superbe vue sur la mer, une piscine toujours propre, une villa trĂšs jolie et pratique, parfaitement Ă©quipĂ©e, tout comme chez soi, et le soleil chaque jour. Que demander de plus pour se reposer et dĂ©couvrir les beaux sites et paysages de la CrĂšte. C'est la 5eme fois que nous venons sur cette Ăźle et c'est toujours un bonheur et de paisibles vacances. Nous prĂ©fĂ©rons cette partie Ă  l'ouest pour ses paysages, grottes, plages magnifiques. A notre arrivĂ©e trĂšs tardive, tout le nĂ©cessaire nous attendait: bouteille d'eau fraĂźche, de vin, et du beurre au frigidaire ainsi que de la bonne huile maison, du cafĂ©, thĂ©, petits beurre, pain... De trĂšs belles attentions. Encore merci Ă  Lorraine et Stuart trĂšs sympathiques et accueillants. A recommander sans aucune hĂ©sitation. 👍

PARFAIT

Cette villa, reprĂ©sentait exactement ce que nous recherchions pour ces 11 nuits passĂ©es en CrĂȘte. la maison est trĂšs bien organisĂ©e tant au niveau des piĂšces que de leurs Ă©quipements. Les extĂ©rieurs sont trĂšs propres, la piscine est absolument parfaite et l'ensemble est trĂšs bien entretenu. les informations pour l'arrivĂ©e et l'accueil sur place (nous sommes arrivĂ©s tard le soir). Ă©taient trĂšs bien. Nous nous sommes sentis vraiment accueillis et attendus, c'est trĂšs agrĂ©able. Lorraine est Stuart sont trĂšs attentifs au bien-ĂȘtre de leurs locataires. et ils sont de trĂšs bons conseils, je suggĂšre de bien lire leurs documents, tout y figure et ce sont de bonnes adresses. En rĂ©sumĂ©: beautĂ© du cadre, superbes Ă©quipements, service au top, la piscine et la vue sont trĂšs trĂšs bien, nous avons pu bĂ©nĂ©ficier d'une bien agrĂ©able intimitĂ© que ce genre de vacances requiert. Superbes vacances

Nous avons passĂ© un superbe sĂ©jour dans cette magnifique villa. TranquillitĂ© et contact avec la nature. Nous Ă©tions rĂ©veillĂ©s par les cigales et le bĂȘlement des chĂšvres. Le coucher du soleil est splendide. TrĂšs bonne communication avec Lorraine et Stuart. Et rien Ă  dire sur la sympathie des habitants de cette Ăźle. C est la meilleure location que nous avons eu depuis que nous rĂ©servons sur abritel. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir.

So nice and relaxing

really a nice and relaxing place. Splendid villa and very good condition. I really recommend it to families. Only one piece to take into account, which is not related to the villa but more to the road to get there - it is quite ruff and not recommended for a sport car.

La villa est magnifique et bien entretenue ! La piscine est grande et belle. L'endroit est au calme dans la verdure et la région aux alentours est superbe. Il y a une belle plage à Kalyves à environ 15 min en voiture et de charmants villages. Nous conseillons vivement. Si c'est possible, nous reviendrons dans cette villa.

Beautiful Villa with panoramic views

Lorraine & Stuart were fantastic hosts before & during our stay. A beautiful property with lovely views across to Chania & White Mountains. Very comfortable and amazing pool. (Largest we have had to date). Everything you could need is available making it a home from home experience. Lots of places to discover just a short car journey away including restaurants and beaches as well as supermarkets all in easy reach.

Perfect location, great hosts

This is a beautiful location with a stunning view. It's very peaceful but only a few minutes drive from Almyrida which is a small town but has an incredible number of wonderful and friendly restaurants and a lovely beach. From the villa you can also walk to a village which has a couple of little restaurants. The pool was a really great size and the outdoor pool shower was appreciated. I loved the garden with lots of little hidden areas and filled with beautiful flowers and plants, lots of old olive trees and a very impressive lemon tree. The beds were much bigger than they look in the photos and mattresses were very comfortable. Our hosts were very helpful and responsive but not at all intrusive. The wi-fi was also very reliable and fast which is great for such a rural villa. We missed having some kind of outdoor sofa type seating but that certainly wouldn't detract us from coming back and highly recommending this villa that gave us such a great holiday! Thank you!

A little slice of Cretan paradise

Villa Tamos is a wonderful, well-equipped, spacious villa in a beautiful setting and we absolutely loved our time there. The pool is as perfect as the view and grounds and Stuart and Lorraine were super-helpful hosts. The villa is well located for exploring Crete and the restaurants/bars/shops of Almyrida are only ten minutes drive away. There is a long unmade track to the property, which needs driving with care, but it's well worth it, and we hope to return one day! Thank you for everything. 10/10 from the Ross Family.

Idyllic stay in the heart of Crete

We had a wonderful time! The house and property are located on a hill in western Crete within easy driving distance of many sites including Chania - we planned a lot of touring. We were able to hike the Imbros Gorge and beaches at Elafinisi and Balos (highly recommended!), among other outings. The house is essentially new, and has all the facilities we were looking for - we especially loved meals and enjoying drinks poolside! The lemon tree's fruits were a bonus!!! The sunset views are surprisingly spectacular, overlooking the hills and sea! The house is equipped with three bedrooms, including one double bed and two rooms with two single beds each - all rooms were comfortably air conditioned. Although we normally had to drive almost anywhere given our agenda, it was nice to walk a couple of times to Douliana for dinner: Heloistasi restaurant was a nice find! The only drawback are the roads to approach (wasn't really an issue for us), honestly a general issue in Crete off the main roads (!!): expect about 2km of challenging off-road driving to approach the house.

Die Lage des Hauses mit Blick auf’s Meer und die Berge ist unfassbar schön! Rundherum wunderschöner alter Baumbestand! Das Haus und der großzĂŒgige Pool sind in einem sehr gepflegten, sauberen Zustand! Absolut empfehlenswert!!!!!

Lovely villa with great location

Beautiful villa with great view. It was nice to have breakfast at the patio and enjoy the view. Pool was great and we really spend a lot of time swimming. Garden was beautiful, we loved the big olive trees. Villa was in very good condition and there was everything we needed in the kitchen. We had great evenings watching the sun go down and enjoy warm nights in the balcony.

Fantastic villa in peaceful surroundings - with great pool.

Communication with Lorraine and Stuart was excellent. Our visit was in September 2020 - and there had been a lot of uncertainty as to whether we would be able to travel to Crete due to Covid 19. The villa was relatively easy to find with the directions supplied - although we did also use a satnav. As other reviews state - some of the roads leading to it are unpaved, steep and uneven in places - however we were in a rented Citreon C1 which coped without a problem. The villa was spotlessly clean and well maintained. It is spacious and has adequate cooking facilities. The pool is a great size, was always warm as it benefits from sun for most of the day. The views from pool area and the balconies were a pleasure to wake up to. The villa is well situated to visit the western half of Crete. The village of Douliana which is approx. a 1 kilometre away has 2 reasonably priced restaurants - food in both was very tasty and plentiful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the villa - very relaxing and would highly recommend it.

We did our homework...Villa Tamos is by far the nicest HomeAway property we have ever rented. (Barcelona, Mallorca, Rome, 3X Miami Beach, Manhattan) It is much nicer than pictured and far nicer than any of the reviews described it. The view, the house, the property, the pool and the location are superb. Lorraine lives close by and and will go out of her way to help in any way she can. My girlfriend spent literally all day long in the pool. which was perfect temperature. Thank goodness we had a car, as the walk into town is a little too strenuous. We never ventured farther than Almyida; there were very nice restaurants there right along the water. We fully intend to return. Thank you Mr & Mrs Baker Pavlina from Prague & Jim from Pennsylvania

Traumhafter Urlaub mit Blick auf das Meer und grĂŒne Berge

Wir haben zwei wundervolle Wochen in dem Haus verbracht. Die Lage ist fantastisch, man wohnt absolut ruhig und blickt auf grĂŒne Berge und das Meer. Villa Tamos 22/5/19 to 5/6/19

The villa is well appointed and comfortable. The pool is delightful. Above all the situation is wonderful with views to the sea and to the mountains. The sea is only 15 minutes away for sunbathing, swimming and relaxing. The notes for the property were useful and include a reliable guide to the local, and not so local, restaurants. Chania is an interesting town, and Heraklion, with Knossos and the museum should not be missed.

Stunning, private, peaceful location and wonderfully equipped villa!

We absolutely loved staying up in the hills above Almyrida. The villa is so welcoming and so brilliantly equipped, that we sometimes found it hard to actually go out and see the sights of Crete! We all appreciated the peace, the beautiful lush garden and hillsides, the sheep bells, the cicada, and of course the amazing pool. We walked to both local villages -Douliana and Gavalochora- and had great meals in both places. The folk museum in Gavalochora is exquisite. Favourite taverna there is the one in the main square opposite the bakery. One highlight of the trip was travelling over the mountains to Elafonisi, swimming in crystal clear, warm waters (even in late October - although we are Scottish and used to freezing lochs, so 'warm' is probably relative!) and buying honey and beeswax from the locals. Everything about the villa and the island was wonderful. Highly recommend! Thank you, Lorraine, for all your advice and tips prior to arrival. Good luck with your ongoing projects in Crete. 🙂

Beautiful Villa in a stunning location

Villa Tamos is beautiful - very clean, fully equipped, comfortable, gorgeous location with an amazing huge and warm pool. My family of 4 had a wonderful 2 weeks there this August and we were all very sad to leave! Communication with the owner was excellent before and during our stay and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. The fascinating Roman ruins at Aptera are only 25 minutes away and we were spoilt for choice for beaches. An amazing holiday!!!
