The hotel is so close to the station that you'd think the noise will interrupt you. The building is fairly quiet and the staff there is amazing. There is ample seating in the restaurant and you are well taken care off. I'd definitely stay here again.

The staff is wonderful and accommodating! There was a variety at breakfast and the restaurant was very good as well. I would recommend this hotel, beautiful views and right next to the train station!

Hotel is expensive. Just like anything in Swiss. Hotel located right next to train station. Parking was easy. Walkable to everything. Staff was very helpful. Breakfast was great. Many options.

Amazing views! You can't beat the convenience if you're travelling by train - it's right across the platform - and the trains are so quiet we slept with our windows open and still didn't hear them. The breakfast had everything you could desire and the staff were super friendly and knowledgeable.

Great Stay

Checking in was easy, warm welcome, room was spacious and comfortable. All amenities covered from coffee machine to toiletries. Breakfast was excellent, a really good selection across the board. Excellent restaurant for evening meals. All staff members were friendly.

Booked a comfort room and when we arrived at the hotel they let us know it was on the 5th floor when the elevators only go to the 4th floor. You need to take a narrow spiral staircase to access the room which is essentially the attic of the building with very low ceilings and no central air. I asked for a different room as I was traveling with my elderly mother who is over 70 years old and they could not accommodate. When I asked if a lower category opens up even in the middle of our 5 night stay the front desk man said he could let me know and started to reach for pen and paper but then changed his mind. He didn’t make any note so I believe he was just saying that but didn’t mean it. They did send someone to bring our luggage up the stairs for us. Then when we were checking out we called down to ask for help to bring our luggage down the stairs but was told no one was available as all staff are working in the breakfast buffet. It would be better if they let people know to call the night before or have luggage be sent down the night before. Even without the stairs/luggage issue, we will not be staying at the hotel again. There is no central air and funky smell throughout the hotel probably from cooking in the kitchen as there is poor ventilation throughout the dates building. Breakfast buffet is just okay as they only have 2 hot items (eggs and bacon) but they do not even provide any condiments (ketchup, salt/pepper, hot sauce) that you would normally see.

Staff were fantastic telling me where to go and helping me with bags and moving my car. Couldn’t do enough for you! The food was lovely and waiters created a lovely atmosphere. The room has a fantastic view. My only criticism was that the TV remote didn’t work but didn’t really need it with the view!

I found this hotel to be a pleasant traditional hotel with friendly staff and mostly good facilities. On the negative side the rooms are little old-fashioned and occasionally run down in small areas. But the public areas are good, as was the restaurant. Pleasant buffet available for breakfast The best thing is the convenience for getting on the train which is literally right outside your door. The worst is the ski room arrangement because you are forced to exit from the basement of the hotel so to get back to the train station to ascend the mountain, you must lug your skis, wearing ski boots up a flight of rickety steps and all across the outside of the hotel.

Great Views of Eiger

We booked a south facing room for one night, so that we could view the Eiger. We enjoyed out stay so much we stayed an additional night. All of the staff was very helpful, and I'll likely stay here again on our next visit. Oh, it about 10 meters from the train station--you can't get a hotel closer to the Grindelwald train station.
