It was a short 4 days .... but loved every minute of it !!!!! Rooms where nice and big , we loved the views ... not a lot of people , which was good! We did eat one dinner in the restaurant in the premises, we also ate at the ConCon (itâs not 5 min walk, itâs more like 15-20min) , was good and ate at El Meson (itâs about 7-10 min walk) , was good too !!!! If youâre interested on breakfast or lunch I HIGHLY suggest Guilias Cafe , thatâs just 3 min walking ... when you exit the buildings make a left !!!! Itâs very safe to walk around !!!! Will be back (soon I hope)
El lugar es perfecto si quieres descansar, todo el entorno de la propiedad esta en muy buenas condiciones, areas con vigilancia las 24 horas, la playa esta equipada con todo lo que necesitas, la piscina super limpia y tiene su propio restaurante, no tienes necesidad de salir si no lo desea, la zona esta rodeadas de restaurantes y varios stores.

My wife and I just finished having a fantastic time at Marbella thanks to Karina and Carlos @ Marbella Vacation Rentals! We rented two units because we invited family so weâre posting this same review under both units. BTW, the photos are accurate and the units are more breathtaking in person. The views are awesome! First⊠since being under COVID in the US for months, we were dying to get back to the DR. We wanted to also visit family in Santo Domingo (SD) so chose Juan Dolio which is the closest nice beach to SD. For those who may be looking at Juan Dolio for the first time, it doesnât get nicer than Marbella. They are private residences in a beautiful complex â 2 huge (and I do mean HUGE) pools, a childrenâs play set and a beautiful beach. If you have kids youâre covered from little ones to teenagers. Great food right on premise and the complex has 24x7 visible security to put you at ease. The complex and individual units are modern and full of light and each features a large balcony overlooking the ocean. There is no âbad unitâ or less than great view (e.g. thereâs no such thing as a âgarden viewâ or âpartial sea viewâ etc. Every unit faces the ocean!) If youâve rented a car, you can easily drive from Marbella to Santo Domingo for shopping, sightseeing, tours etc. Staying at Marbella give you many options.
Weâve rented from Carlos and Karina (Marbella Vacation Rentals) in the past. Since each unit is individually owned, if you need more than one unit as we do, I prefer to work with someone who can coordinate more than one unit so I have one point of contact. They seem to manage the largest selection of units at Marbella so I never have to worry about getting the type of unit I need for the dates I need it. Also, I donât speak Spanish so really need someone who is fully fluent in English but is local in case we need something.
Again, I canât say how fantastic a time we had at Marbella in the two units we rented. The complex is awesome, the units were modern and sparkling clean and the Karina and Carlos took care of all the needs on the ground so we just had to show up and enjoy! Time to say âgoodbye" to COVID!
The place is as described. The view is even better. Nice location with restaurants and small markets. The communication with Carlos was great and prompt.
They keep the grounds and pools really clean. The on site restaurant is very convenient and they serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. The apartment is fully equipped. Thereâs WiFi and hot water. Also, the balcony furniture was great to sit down and relax with the sound of the ocean at night.
Marbella is an outstanding complex and our condo unit was comfortable and clean.
We stayed at Marbella for 3 months. The staff were professional, curteous and took pride in their jobs. Each morning the pools were cleaned and the beach sand was groomed. In our 3 months there, we also saw them clean the beach chairs, the cabanas, and the stone decking around the pools.
There is a restaurant on the site that was very good. It was nice to have that option if you didn't want to cook. The paella was exellent!
The grounds are spectacular and every condo unit has a view of the ocean and at least one of the pools. It was lovely to wake up to the sound of the ocean and watch the waves.
There were more than enough chairs on the beach and around the pool to accommodate everyone. There was so much room that you never felt crowded. The security staff made sure that rules (no glass around the pool and no loud music) were followed so it was always peaceful on the property.
Vendors walked the beach selling various things but they were never intrusive and we even got to know a few of them by name.
The condo unit we had was perfect. It was well equipped and the furniture was very comfortable. We loved the veranda where we ate our meals and watched the amazing sunsets each night.
The beach is great for walking. You can walk for miles and pass other hotels and condo complexes that make you appreciate Marbella even more. It truly is a great place to stay.
The ocean water was warm and most of the swimming area had a sandy bottom however some areas had rocks at the edge of the water that you had to step through to get to the sandy area. We wore water shoes most of the time.
In the neighborhood, there are about 15 different restaurants and a few small stores to get the basics like bread, eggs and rum...:). We tried most of the restaurants and they were all fabulous! The small stores have the basics you need for a short stay but if you need to load up on groceries, the large supermarket is a cab ride away.
We had minor issues with plumbing and internet access and they were promptly addressed by our property manager Carlos and the staff at reception.
It was a relaxing and amazing 3 months. We will be back next year!
We recently spent two nights at Marbella as a brief respite for our daughter who is in the DR to teach English. Our stay was perfect from beginning to end. Carlos is excellent at communicating and answering questions, and provides detailed instructions as to check-in and check-out procedures. We did not cook in the condo, but noticed that it was well equipped if we had wanted to do so. The only thing missing perhaps would be a coffee maker. We knew there was a restaurant on site, so we did not plan to cook. The view from the balcony is lovely, and is just as pictured, and the property was very clean. The staff at Marbella is responsive as well, and are available to answer questions or give restaurant suggestions. We ate at Con Con our last night which is just down the street, but requires a car. It was very good. We ate breakfast twice at the restaurant at Marbella and had dinner there once. We were never disappointed. The waiters are great and appreciated our effort to communicate in Spanish. We would love to go back some day. Thank you, Carlos!
I was warmly greeted at the airport by an associate of the owner who had my name on a sign. He took me to a grocery store and assisted me in familiarizing myself with the condo. The property was clean and secure with breathtaking views. I received follow up emails from the property managers Carlos and Luis ensuring that all was going well. A couple of old carpets were my only concern. Carlos advised they would be removed. The restaurant on site by the pool has the best food in town. Friendly servers and exceptional quality preparation. The pool is huge and clean. So is the beach. I will return this winter.

Brilliant location. View of the sea from balcony was awesome. High recommended.
Amazing apartment. We spent 9 nights in Marbella apt in July 2016. The family can't stop talking about the location. The only downside, the stores have little or no fresh vegetables and fruits.
The apartment is spacious and well equipped to suit all of needs during our one week stay. The overall property is very well maintained, clean, and peaceful. The staff was friendly and very professional. We highly recommend Marbella and would not hesitate to return in the future.

My family and I were traveling down from New York to stay in Juan Dolio. For those who may not have traveled to the DR before, Juan Dolio is a hidden gem... it's the best beach within easy driving distance if you want to stay near the capital, Santo Domingo on the south coast. For us, Punta Cana is too "tourist-resort"-ish, Las Terrenas/Samana is too remote (even with the new highway) and in Puerto Plata it's really just the beach, not too many things to do outside the resorts. Juan Dolio combines a great beach that's within driving distance of malls, other dining, sightseeing & activities in the capital (we have 5 kids, all tweens/teenagers).
In Juan Dolio, Marbella Towers is (IMHO) the best place to stay. They REALLY keep the property up. They keep the beach (which is more of less private), immaculately clean. The pools are super clean and the largest ones in Juan Dolio. They have a real nice play ground/fort/slide area for smaller kids and a game room onsite for teens etc. and SUPER SECURITY, IT'S VERY SAFE. And since each apartment is owned (and rented out when the owners aren't there), they're fully furnished and well maintained as a home would be unlike if you rent a room at a hotel where you never know what it will be like until you open the door!
From the moment I made an inquiry Carlos was VERY responsive (I'd literally email him and receive a response always within 5 minutes!) We actually rented 2 of his units (7-25 & 7-27) as we were meeting with some relatives and both units were top-notch! They were extremely clean and fully-ready. There's nothing we had to do, we just checked in and enjoyed our vacation. Everything was "as advertised" in the posting (and better). We needed to add/change certain days we were staying... Carlos accommodated with NO PROBLEM. If we needed anything he let us know we could contact him any time (and since I don't speak Spanish having a local resource like that for my family is gold. The last thing you want on a vacation is any surprises!)
Our vacation was a 5-star experience, Carlos was great to work with and the unit was EXCELLENT! (it's really impressive, you won't be disappointed!).
