Quick trip to Guerande

Modern hotel close to the centre of the old town. Convenient for visiting the region. Good sized rooms and excellent air conditioning. Would stay here again.

Comfortable overnight stay!

Check-in was slow, but efficient. Although pre-paid online, Reception in error thought we had to pay on site and quoted rate of 69.70 euros. Then it was determined payment had been made online, but at a higher rate of 85.00 euros. I will need to discuss this with Hotels.com, but I assume I will not receive any rebate. First assigned room had no wifi service, which we needed. Front Desk immediately and easily changed us to a different room with excellent wifi service. Front Desk Receptionist was very helpful and professional. Room is very comfortable. Hotel is very well located with a short drive to many interesting places. Unfortunately, room does not have a refrigerator. Overall opinion, good value for money.

Nice, comfortable hotel

Hotel is clean and updated. Sofa bed was a little rough on the back, probably good for kids. The king bead was very comfortable. Nice size room and bathroom. Quite area. Nice looking pool area, even though we did not use it. Great location, close to medieval town and other sight seeing.

Pratique pour visiter Guérande

Hotel sympathique, les espaces sont agréables. La zone autour a assez peu d'interêt, mais c'est à seulement 10min à pied de Guérande intra-muros, donc très pratique.

Very nice single nights stay at the Best Western.

The check-in was great and the front desk very responsive and accommodating. The bathroom facilities could use some work .. i.e., the exhaust fan did not operate ..and couple of other things in there need attention. But, overall, a very nice single nights stay at the Best Western.

I was most disappointed by this hotel. When we arrived the lady in reception was less than friendly, which is always a shame, but if you only need to check in it’s not so bad. Sadly we needed more, when I tried to find out about the spa she just shrugged at me, even when I asked I French I just got shrugged at, at this point I gave up. We then thought we would explore the area as it says in the info that the hotel is opposite the salt marshes. If by opposite the salt marshes they mean, the salt marshes that have been built on and is now a retail complex, yes true but not quite what we wanted! We returned to hotel room thinking a nice shower after a long days travelling would be nice. At which point we discovered there was no hot water. Another trip to the friendly receptionist, yes she was aware they had no hot water, there had been an issue. You would at least think they would tell you this when you check in! Could we expect hot water at any Point during our stay? Ah the now familiar shrug! I will not be staying here again and likely avoiding Best Westerns generally If this is what you have to put up with. Not recommended.
