*UPDATE as of Jan 20th: concrete repairs will take place in the common areas at Royal Palms - anticipated now through mid/end of February. There's no impact to the condo, guests may hear intermittent noise.

Enjoy panoramic views of the sparkling gulf water and sugar white sand from your private balcony. Royal Palms in Gulf Shores is a prime location on scenic East Beach and only about 1 mile from the center of town. Condo size is 1BR/2BA and approx. 676 SqFt. Free WiFi!

On-site amenities include an outdoor pool, indoor heated pool, fitness center, and sauna. Awesome complex directly on the beach, and easy walking distance to the center of town, and the closest condo to Gulf State Pier!

Royal Palms will be a No Smoking property starting August 16, 2025. This includes balconies and all common areas.

Condo has quality stainless appliances, ice maker, Flatscreen TVs(2), 2 DVDs, Elevator (2), & Washer/Dryer. 42" SMART TV with DVD in living room. 32" SMART TV in Master Bedroom.

Fantastic unit, and building. The indoor pool was amazing since it tained our first two days. My only thing to note, is that the bed that is sort of in the wall is very short. If you are over 5'2 its likely going to be uncomfortable.

There was obviously some issue as the condo smelled very musty as you entered and they had a dehumidifier running that was full when we got there. Both shower heads dripped so we had to keep bathroom door shut at night to sleep. Would also recommend the single cup coffee maker be upgraded as it is a very old model and coffee was lukewarm. Otherwise condo was very clean and we loved the location.

MOLD

First family vacation ruined by the sheer amount of mold in the air ducts. Unfortunately myself, husband, and daughter got very sick from the spores. Placed appeared very "new" and nice, but the instant musty smell threw me. Checked the vents, and they were plastered with black mold (and no, not "mildew", but BOTH are unhealthy). We were relocated, but the rest of our vacation was spent sick. This should not have been an issue in the first place, and I truly hope it's fixed before another family is placed in this condo.

We enjoyed our stay here. Would definitely stay here again. Condo was nice and view was fabulous! Wish the pool area had a restroom so you didn’t have to go back up to condo to use restroom.

Perfect!

Had no problem with the condo , it was perfect for our family of 4. The only 2 things, one is the key was a pain in the butt. It would get stuck and hard to turn everytime when we would go to lock the door. And both showers fully did turn off.. they would constantly drip. Would definitely return if we ever come back to gulf shores.

Needs Deep Cleaning & Updating

Overall it was a good stay. Unit did not have a working water/ice feature in door of refrigerator......so we had to call to have maintenance attach the water line to the frig. It took over 24 hours to make ice. Also, TV's did not have cable.....which was very disappointing since it was during March Madness, and it is advertised as having cable TV. We call C-Spire and they could not help us over the phone so they made a house call (4 days later) and then said it was because the TV was too old. Very disappointing. Unit could use a deep clean.....baseboards, walls, etc.

Great View!

Enjoyed our stay at the condo, deck was great to enjoy mornings & evenings. Condo is nice size for couples, kitchen was stocked with utensils, pans etc. Would be nice to have seasonings (salt & pepper) at least, but we read previous reviews and brought our own. We are older, and would have liked more lighting in bedroom, ceiling fan light very dim, bed side lamps provide some but not alot more. i wear a sleep mask when traveling, but those who don't, the outside hall light shines pretty bright in the bedroom window (fyi), even with curtains drawn. The bedroom tv needs to be updated as far as information on channels...nothing provided helped us figure out a directory for channels. All in all, we had a great time, only very few minor issues (lighting, tv). Very convenient to restaurants and you could not beat the VIEW!

October at the Beach cant be beat!

I can honestly say that Royal Palms will be our only go to place to stay come next October. No more searching. The room was perfect the view even more perfect. I don't have anything bad to say about Royal Palms. Only thing i can say is that our stay was to short and we know next time to book more days. We enjoyed every minute of our stay in 402. Cant wait to go back!

Great location on the beach!

We had a wonderful week long stay at the Royal Palms! You can walk on the beach to Sea n Suds for lunch or dinner, walk on the beach to the pier, or to Waffle House for breakfast. Fantastic beach front view, we spent a lot of time on the balcony overlooking the Gulf. The condo is small but works well for a couple, or with one or two small children. Easy drive to restaurants and souvenirs. Indoor and outdoor pools available. Go have a good time!

Beach Vacation

Condo was exactly as pictured on the web site. The only issues we had were really minor. When we arrived the tile floor had not been cleaned. The key for the front door was very difficult to turn the lock. These issues did not keep us from thoroughly enjoying the stay. The balcony overlooked the beach and was a perfect spot for our morning coffee.
