Great House Close to Beach

An absolutely beautiful property on N. Kauai
Publié le 21 avr. 2024 sur HomeAwayThis has to be one of the most amazing rental's my wife and I have stayed in on vacation. The grounds are shrouded with native landscaping that offers privacy and a true sense of being in Hawaii. There is A/C in each of the 3 rooms along with fans which keeps it comfortable and there is a very well stocked kitchen with every amenity you could possibly need. The driveway in is covered as well which was a blessing on days when it rained and we had taken the top(s) off on our Jeep rental. IMO, the location of this rental is hard to beat and felt as though we were living at the edge of the world being located 5 mins (at most) from Haena Beach and the infamous Kalalau Trail. We watched the sunset at Haena Beach 3 of 4 nights during our stay and it is hard to beat. The owner was very responsive and even took the time to purchase a small birthday welcome of flowers / a balloon as it was my 40th. Highly recommend and I can’t wait to return.

Great location
Publié le 18 avr. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe had a lovely time. Can't beat the location-walkable to Tunnels Beach and a short drive to the quaint town of Hanelai. Would definitely stay here again.

Awesome Stay

Mikala Place, Haena

The grounds outside were lush with many plants and trees. The kitchen had everything we needed and the outside grill worked very easily. We very much enjoyed our stay at this house on Mikala Place in Haena. Thanks

PERFECT NORTH END GET AWAY
Publié le 21 mars 2024 sur HomeAwayWe loved this place! The location was exactly what we were looking for. Quiet, clean & comfortable & the views in this area are incredible! The patio area is wonderful with many sitting areas & a grille. So many beaches to choose from & Haena State Park is just down the road (make reservations). If you're looking for shopping, restaurants, bike or kayak rental you will find it all a short drive from the house in Hanalei. Everything you need for a beach day is available at the house. I you make plans to visit this incredible island, I highly recommend this home!

Publié le 4 mars 2024 sur HomeAwayWe thoroughly enjoyed our time at the cottage. The house itself is very comfortable, airy and well stocked with essentials. For us though, the real star attraction was the location, as it's located near the termination point of the Kuhio Hwy. It's in a more remote, localized area, removed from the large resort type complexes. It also has a string of some of the most beautiful beaches that you can walk to from the property that were almost deserted and very private. It's also located very near to some of the natural star attractions of the north shore, such as Haena and Tunnels beach and Haena State Park and the Kalalau Trail.
Heavy tropical vegetation is sustained by short, frequent showers that gather over the beautiful mountains of the Napali Coast. The host is also very responsive to any questions or concerns. Makes it hard to leave.

Wonderful Family Vacation
Publié le 18 févr. 2024 sur HomeAwayDonna's house was absolutely perfect for our family of 4. The house is very nice and extremely clean and well stocked. The beach that is a quick walk from the house is beautiful and all the beach gear provided was great! Would definitely recommend and stay again.

BEAUTIFUL, quiet getaway home
Publié le 14 févr. 2024 sur HomeAwayTook my Mom to show her Kauai for the first time and wanted to stay on the north side as she's a huge flower-and-plants person. The home is beautiful, with plenty of space for everyone to spread out and lounge around inside, on the lanai, and in the large first-floor lounge and yard.
The owner, Donna, is lovely and we got to chat with her when she swung by to (very promptly) see to a quick maintenance issue a few days into our stay -- Mom was very excited to learn that Pierce Brosnan lives down the street (no, we never spotted him).
The location is amazing, with breeze and birds and the beach only a short walk away. I strongly recommend you consider this beautiful spot for your next trip to Kauai!

Yes Pierce Brosnan lives on the beach side of the road We have seen him at the hardware store, the fish market He is not around very often but a great addition to the island for many years now
