An absolutely beautiful property which I would highly recommend visiting. The experience was slightly adversely effected by a cold room due to the lack of adequately sized radiators (although to be fair the staff provided a fan heater when we mentioned the issue); and a lack of hot water. The walk was also hindered by fallen trees.

Stunning place, lovely room and facilities. The grounds are like something from a film. It is a huge shame the place is not run well.
There were 2 of us in the dining room for dinner, but the main course i had was not as described and my mum's food arrived cold. When we raised our concerns the staff were not very apologetic. It was sadly a massive disappointment. I made them aware i was not paying for my mum's main course and they eventually took it off the bill.
However, breakfast was lovely and the grounds were outstanding.

There was no food on the Tuesday night so went and found a local pub (the bush inn). Had a meal here on the Wednesday night (Valentine's) which was lovely, they obviously go for taste over quantity. The grounds and walks are beautiful even in winter. Staff very friendly and accommodating.

Lovely hotel and friendly staff. The only downside is it is quite hard to find on the first occasion as very dark with little lighting. In the daylight it is fine.
