Diamond in the residence

The hotel is wonderful, on the outskirts of the forest with easy access to hiking and a playground. Only a 12-minute drive to Heidelberg’s Altstadt, their breakfast was good and reasonably priced. Friendly staff, air conditioning, huge tub and shower in the junior suite, beautiful Biergarten with a playground to occupy the kids....all reasons why we would choose this hotel every time possible when visiting Heidelberg!

Great service and kudos to Vlad!

The service was excellent, friendly and always personable. A special kudos to Vlad who went beyond the call of duty to make us feel at home and special. He spoke English, Russian and of course German, and gave us guidance in everything we requested. Accommodating three adults in one room is a challenge in most European hotels, but we found it easy here. Although the hotel is located outside the city center, it was a great place to begin our driving tours of locations nearby such as Strasbourg, Speyer and of course the city center Heidelberg. There was parking and it was a short hop to all major motorways. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Great hotel & friendly staff

Very nice location and well kept. Was offered the buffet option for breakfast which was a win as it was a full American style vs the normal continental option which is more common during our European travels.

Top Floor

We stayed in room 52 which is on the top floor and it was great! Whole rooftop to ourselves. Separate room for the kids and very clean. Breakfast was also amazing. Great hotel at a great price.

Excellent stay in a comfortable hotel

Although the hotel was outside of town, the hotel itself was excellent and the staff were very helpful. There is a bus service just outside which takes you into town for less than €3. The hotel served great food in the evening at a very reasonable price and the breakfast buffet was also excellent. The room was very comfortable and clean. I would recommend and visit again.

Excellent Hotel in quiet surroundings

This hotel, although a bit out of the way, was delightful. Friendly staff, comfortable room and good food. Parking was free as was Wi-fi. If we’d wanted to visit the centre of Heidelberg, there was a public bus service right outside the hotel. The hotel is perched up on Boxberg above the city. It was foggy whilst we were ther, but I’m sure there is a good view from the hotel. It also has a bear garden open in the summer months and a sauna too.

tmärkt i Heidelsberg vackra utkant.

Utmärkt övernattning i tyst, bekvämt rum och god middag o frukost efter en dag på sutobahn på väg söderut samt lika bekvämt och vänligt bemötande med tips om Heidelberg och kollektiv trafik mellan hotellet och centrum efter en dag genom norra Italien och Schweitz innan ytterligare en dag på autobahn norrut 10 dagar senare, då jag dessutom återfick min mobil-laddare som jag glömt på rummet vid den första övernattningen

Das Frühstücksbuffet war sehr gut. Die Frühstückszeiten hätten etwas früher sein können. Nur mit Glück bekamen wir einen der Außenparkplätze am Freitag abend und Samstag Mittag. Aber Samstag nachts nicht. Der freundliche Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption hat es uns dann ermöglicht einen Parkplatz in der Garage zu bekommen. Bewertung: Parkplätze sind rar und eng. Die Umgebung des Hotels gefiel uns nicht. Das im Bauhaus gehaltenen Stil sagte uns nicht zu.
