The house is in fact on the side of a steep hill. Please be aware of your surroundings at all times. Stay away from the edges.
BEARS FREQUENT THIS AREA! We see them on the cameras. ALOT! Do not leave food in the pavilion or in your cars!! DO NOT FEED THEM IF YOU SEE THEM!
Although the moss along the rock paths is pretty it can be very slick. Be careful when moving around especially in the mornings or after a rain.

Easter Weekend

Beautiful home and extremely convenient to downtown Helen. This was a birthday surprise trip for my son, and he was so impressed. Would love to stay there again.

NEVER EVER arrived to an uncleaned rental before. And NO compensation for my time

I found this upon arrival, see photos Owner tried to say it was pollen, pollen is yellow. Notice paw prints where obviously NOT cleaned. Just no words. Spent Thursday night on phone with owner persuading him this cabin was not cleaned. Requested all comforters, pillow shams and the throws and afgans be washed , they smelled like dirty feet. I also had sheets replaced, i wanted to be sure they were changed. Frriday cleaning manager arrived, picked up linens. I could not use cabin until house was clean. TWO helpers arrived and the three were there until 3 pm. Famiky arrived 45 minutes layer. I was so stressed because unable to use kitchen. I had planned a sit down dinner with family with their requested favorires. We went out to dinner. THURSDAY NIGHT AND ALL DAY FRIDAY WAS RUINED. CHECK IN TIME IS 10 AND CHECK OUT TiME IS 4. Please see photos. All fabric items smelled including furniture. So Thursday evening and Friday was ruined because of the filth.

Christmas trip

Family trip for Christmas. Enjoyed the location and close access to the restaurants and shops. Lots of space so we didn’t feel cramped. Was clean and had all essentials for a nice weekend trip.

Family vacation and surprise engagement

Great location for my family if grown children and elderly mother to gather from all directions. Beautiful views, delightfully decorated, great memories. We added the rental of a 6 person golf cart that made running up/down the hill so easy. We even saw a bear!!!!

Labor Day trip

My family went for a vacation to Helen Labor Day and the house and location was GREAT! house had plenty of room, very clean, and great location. The sound of the creek was very relaxing also. WE will rent again.

Right in Town

Great location, walking distance to everything. The only negative was the steep drive leading up to the house. If you or your party is wheelchair bound or has trouble walking, you may want to consider driving to town. Other than that, the cabin is really cool with plenty of space.
