PERFECT LOCATION-True Walk To Town!

This is a recently renovated house in a can't beat location! Park the car and walk to town! The stroll to Main Street is only three blocks and an easy flat walk past Harris Lake (where you can feed the geese or do a little fishing). You're just a stone's throw from world class shopping, a day at the spa, ice cream shops, great restaurants, or countless outdoor adventures. The wifi will let you stay plugged in, the HD flat screen will let you catch the game, and a giant front porch ready for lounging or dining lets you just sit and enjoy the cool mountain air at 4118 feet above sea level.

The house features five bedrooms and three and a half bathrooms: a king bedroom with an en suite bathroom, two queen bedrooms that share a full bath and a queen bedroom and a bedroom with two twins that share the third full bathroom. The large living room has a gas fireplace and an HD flat screen TV. The dining table seats 10. A fully equipped kitchen and huge island wait for you to gather around. The house also has two washer and dryers and TVs in every bedroom. This is the perfect spot from which to launch all of your Highlands adventures!

*So it's not confusing: An old pre-renovation review mentions three bedrooms but the house now has five.

We had a wonderful stay in this Highlands home. The location truly can’t be beat – it’s an easy, short, walk into town, which made our trip, especially convenient and enjoyable. The house itself is very well laid out for families and groups, with plenty of space and comfortable furniture that easily accommodate a larger crowd with that ever feeling cramped. The host, Laird, was fantastic to work with when we arrived. We encountered a heating issue and she responded immediately. She contacted her handyman right away and had another crew out the very next morning to resolve the problem. Her responsiveness and care made a big difference and gave us peace of mind. We would absolutely recommend this property and would happily stay here again.

We had the perfect Thanksgiving week! Our family came from all over the US. The house has a great layout for multiple families as each family unit had their own space. Location was perfect as we walked to town, the lake, and sunset rock hike. We loved the design/decor of the house and it was the perfect backdrop for family meals and time together.

Pretty house with lots of room for a big family. Great location, easy walk to town. Little lake near by and close to the library for activities for littles. Only complaints are the beds which were very firm and uncomfortable in our opinion, and minimal cooking supplies in the kitchen.

Fabulous Highlands Home Right near Main St

What a beautiful home to rent for family and friends! Five spacious bedrooms and baths with such attractive furnishings throughout. Tall ceilings, great spacious living, plenty of seating, perfectly stocked kitchen, and a super easy walk to Main Street. We could come back to this property every single time - 10/10!!

Two family stay

Excellent property. We had two families. 7 people including two children. Plenty of space to cook and hang out. Great front porch to accommodate everyone. Enjoyed walks to town and feeding ducks near by. Quiet and beautiful spot ! Maybe add a few more larger pots for cooking bigger meals. Would love to stay again soon!

Perfect in every way!

This house is in a perfect location. Very easy, nice walk to town and hiking trails. Great house for a large family. We were 8 adults and 2 children. The house is kid friendly. The information packet provided by the house is very helpful.

Gorgeous house in the mountain perfect for groups!

We absolutely adored our time at this property. The house is perfectly set up for 3 families, with mini “wings” each having their own bathroom. Plus a gorgeous, large, open living space for hanging out together. The house is very beautifully designed, the instruction book in the kitchen was clear and funny. The wall to town was perfect and quick. We went at least twice a day without a problem! Would return!

Best location in Highlands

Our family gathered in Highlands for a Labor Day weekend getaway, and we loved staying in this house. Located on a quiet street, the house is just about as close to downtown Highlands as you can get. We enjoyed fishing in Harris Lake, walking to breakfast at Mountain Fresh, and playing games in the front yard. This house is clean, has an open layout that is ideal for family gatherings, is beautifully decorated, and has a well-stocked kitchen. I highly recommend it!

Perfect family getaway

My husband and I along with our grown children spent a week at this property in Highlands. The house was a close 5 minute walk to Main Street and near Harris Lake. The lay-out was great as there are separate bedroom areas with adjacent baths that you can close off for privacy along with a very nice master bedroom and private bath. The kitchen was well equipped with nice new appliances. The family and dining areas were perfect for gathering to eat, work and play games. A few restaurants that we enjoyed were Paoletti, Four65 Woodfire Bistro, Madison’s in Old Edwards Inn, The Ugly Dog - perfect after hiking. We wish we had gone to Lakeside, but it was fully booked during our stay. All in all a great first visit to Highlands!
