Every quite & nice hotel that I believe is located at the highest point in Hilo. Had great scenery from the front porch along with a nice small botanical garden to sit & relax at.

Posted Mar. 9, 2020 on HomeAwayOlder home, top of a hill overlooking downtown Hilo. Ours was 1 of 4 bedrooms, with its own bath. The room was clean except the bedspread, which looked as if someone had laid down on it without taking off shoes. Parking was OK: 2 spots in the drive, 2 additional spots on the roadside a very short walk away. Our biggest frustration was perhaps due to this being our first rental of this type. We could not get hold of the manager to learn how to get in. It turned out that we had to get to the door and then make a call. It all worked, out, but we could have used some further instruction ahead of time. It ended up meeting our needs well enough.

The rainpipe was dripping the whole night- no sleep possible.
Do not sleep in room 02 - unless it is repaired, or dry weather!

Great location, easy access for walking to town. Too bad windows are a bit dirty because view is great. Kitchen accessories could be better and would help keep the place cleaner. Sound travels well so a bit noisy.
