Great location and great service
Posted Nov. 5, 2023 on HotelsMy wife and had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The location is right in the middle if Miyajima where all the tourists go. We had dinner at the hotel and it was great. Highly recommended to stay here.

While it was disappointing that the torii are shrouded in scaffolding we were impressed with the wonderful service and lovely facilities at the Kurayado Iroha. I agree this is a luxury hotel at a premium price, but disagree with reviews that say it is not worth it. You are paying for location, excellent service, delicious food and impeccable attention to detail. Even the artwork in the bathroom of our room was lovely. The rooftop hot springs were exquisite with a spectacular view of the Torii (when they are again viewable) and every detail of our dinner and breakfast were beautiful. We have been to many ryokan in Japan and we consider this one of the best in the more modern category. Special appreciation to Yuya at the front desk who was an especially helpful host to us as it was our first time to Miyajima!

Outstanding facility, service and food. Staff even located a few forgotten articles and forwarded them on to our next hotel.
