Nice hotel situated in a great location. Hotel us looking a little tired and could go with some updating in some areas. Rooms general clean, however one of our pillows smelt of tobacco. Breakfast and afternoon tea both nice but limited.

The hotel was lovely the breakfast and afternoon tea was fantastic. All good hotels are good due to the people working at them, the staff at Au Lac Charner make this hotel good, big thanks to all the team especially Daisy and Tommy for helping us with a booking situation and making our 7 night stay wonderful, I had read some previous reviews about noise and sound proofing, honestly we stayed in a Bonard Junior suite on the 6th floor and could not hear any road side or outside noise and the internal noise from other guest was minimal and not invasive as both my wife and myself are fairly light sleepers, we can highly recommend this hotel and the convenience to D1 landmarks is also fantastic

Hotel is located in a very centralised location. Very convenient for all food and shopping. Hotel staff are all very friendly and helpful. However room is a bit on the old side already and need some renovation very soon.

The toilet was suck, you have to hold it for a while and had to do it several times to completely clean. When I told the staff about the problem she told me to PUT THE TOILET PAPER YOU USED AFTER YOUR BUSINESS in the trash instead of flushing it!!! So disgusting for a so-called high-end hotel. I paid over a hundred dollars each night for 4 suffering nights. My list can go on but the used toilet paper needs to be in the trash was over my boundaries.

The hotel and staff are great. Made me feel at home. Very good breakfast and afternoon tea. We enjoyed the pool every day! Nice view from the roof top bar. We look forward to staying there again the future 🙂!

A lovely boutique hotel in the heart of Ho Chi Minh. Staff were very helpful and polite. Overall we had a great stay but a couple of things could be improved. The bathroom was a bit dated and our shower was partly broken and the taps could do with a descale. The pool was often very busy with limited loungers. I would have preferred more options for breakfast and a proper coffee machine. Other than that it was conveniently located to all the attractions and the beds were very comfy

This hotel was in a great area full of restaurants and night life. It was clean and the staff were friendly. The pool area was brilliant & afternoon tea was a lovely bonus! Our room ( junior suite) was spacious & had a bath ( with a retractable shower head in it) so if you cannot step into a bath, make sure you book a room type where there is a shower. I would stay here again!

Our stay was totally unexpected in a tood way.. The staff were amazing, so helpful and polite, nothing was too much trouble.. Our room had a balcony shower which i was concerned about, then realised it's totally private and went with it. The pool is the perfect temperature too. Breakfast was good.. heaps of options, well presented and tasty. Definitely would stay here again.

The facilities are kept clean and running smooth with actual care. The service is outstanding. Those looking to stay in District 1 for a reasonable price will not be disappointed in this hotel. Check in is smooth and the staff go above and beyond to accommodate your stay. A delicious breakfast buffet is probided every morning with several options. Catering is easy and the food and drinks are great, though most will want to take advantage of what the surrounding district has to offer. You're a ten minute walk to the mall and several other shops and restaurants. There's always a Grab vehicle or two ready to take you further if needed. People complain the beds are stiffer in VN, but the beds here were closer to western style in my opinion. The bathroom has modern equipment and the amenities cover the needs of most if not all visitors. The TV is up to date with capabilities for whatever streaming service you might be using. The lighting is more than adequate. Laundry service was prompt and the clothes came back perfect. The rooftop pool gets busy, and people feel entitled to reserve the spaces, so I would skip this unless you need to take a lazy day and plan to get in very early. The sauna, located on the same roof, is a more personal size, though recommended as I never had any issues of availability. Altogether you get the complete package of an easy, yet fulfilling stay with a hotel that aims to take care of you.

Avoid this Hotel it’s not what you expect!

I do not understand how this hotel has a 9.0 rating. The hotel does not look as good as the pictures. On arrival 3am yes it was late, I arrived to see the receptionist sleeping on the sofa! This continue every night of my stay which I found really unprofessional. The room is very wooden looking not a cosy feel like you would expect from a hotel. The staff never say hello to you or very rarely do they even acknowledge you. I was really surprised as I had high hopes for this hotel from the look and review. Room service also finished at 8.45pm which is far too early if you want to enjoy room service. This really affected my thoughts of Ho Chi Minh as I loved Hanoi. Honestly find another hotel as you won’t have a good experience here. Finally if you’re looking forward to the ‘Afternoon tea’ don’t bother I kid you not I went 2-3 times, it’s a few plates on a table in the middle of the room with a few small muffins/ cakes and most of the plates are always empty even if you go early. I felt embarrassed for the hotel. Massive let down in every way possible. AVOID
