Amenities were sufficient for our stay. Week stay should be at least that amount of product for the coffee with creamer and sugar for a week stay. Great location and ease of entering and exiting the room. Bedding all right maybe another comforter for use winter people coming in even though it was a pleasant 77-79 degrees for the week. Would stay again if traveling to the island again.
While I missed that there was no parking on site, the condo is a vacation rental property so communication was through a third party. There were no basics for cooking (i.e. oil spray for pans). The condo was neat but there was a lot of trash and access to the building was crowded with garbage. The security gates on sight were nice. The listing was misleading as laundry services are not readily available but shared and coin operated. This is less a VRBO that led to a relaxing vacation getaway, but renting a kitchenette from a hotel.
Rating the apartment itself 5 star because it's very clean and nicely furnished as shown in the listing pictures. Location is great in terms of closeness to everything, however I felt a little uncomfortable with the people hanging out right next to the entry gate every night. One of them accosted me the very first night and that really scared me.
Property very clean and comfortable. Location was perfect near resorts and 2 blocks from the beach. We found parking at the Waikiki Sunset also 2 blocks away for 45 a day which was better for our situation than walking a half mile from the zoo.
Great location! Close to the beach, restaurants, bars, shopping and bus/trolley stops. Lots of cars and people on the street in front of condo but surprisingly quiet.
Great location, Only thing that would have made it better if there would have been access to parking within the compound. There was a phone number to call but parking downtown during the week was not too complicated, just a little expensive in addition to accommodations.
This is an excellent one bedroom, one bathroom unit with a small but well stocked kitchen. The location canât be beat, a block from the beach and the zoo. Everything is tastefully remodeled and comfortable. Host is easy to communicate with and check in is easy. While there is no parking at the location, we found free parking a short walk away on the other side of the zoo along the street. It isnât close to a grocery store so plan to uber to one if not getting a car, have them delivered or eat out. There are no views from any of the windows but we spent so little time in the room we didnât care. On the balcony there are a couple of beach chairs and a boogie board for using at the beach. In a shared space downstairs there are other beach items that you can borrow which was really nice. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.
This spot was great! The location was amazing and the place was extremely comfortable. I stayed there with 2 other friends and we were all able to sleep comfortably using the king bed and futon. They also have beach chairs and towels which is a great perk!
The place itself was lovely, clean, comfortable, and in a great location just a short walk to the beach and shops. Once we were settled in, everything went smoothly and we really enjoyed our stay. However, the check in experience was frustrating. We arrived around 10 AM with three large suitcases, hoping to at least drop off our bags before the 3:00â3:30 PM check in time so we could explore without dragging everything around. When we contacted the owner, we were told flatly âno,â and that we had to wait until check in.This meant sitting outside the place for nearly five hours in the heat, unable to go anywhere or even get food. We checked several times to see if cleaners were there, but the unit appeared empty all day. Eventually, we went up an hour early and found the place completely clean and unoccupied. It was frustrating to know we couldâve been let in earlier or at least dropped off our bags. The lack of flexibility and empathy really soured the start of our stay. Honestly, it felt almost narcissistic to deny a simple request like luggage drop-off. And if the concern was cleaners, why not just contact them to confirm if they were still there? The situation felt avoidable and poorly managed, which was a shame given how nice the place itself was.
PERFECT little place for our impromptu extended stay!
We'd been staying with some friends elsewhere, and decided to stay a bit longer once that trip ended. This spot was absolutely PERFECT for my husband and I! It's within walking distance to all the shops and restaurants, and the beach is a block away! Beach chairs and towels being included was a big perk as well, and there's an ABC right around the corner if you need any emergency items! It felt super secure and safe, and was incredibly clean! Check-in directions were very clear and easy, and same with check-out. Would absolutely stay here again! 10/10 recommend!
I stayed at this property with my 20 year old son and his friend. We got a text about getting in upon arrival and had no issues at all with access throughout our stay. The boys enjoyed being close to all the activity by the beach, the novelty of roosters, and the food trucks on our road. We walked to the Queen Kapiolani hotel for Uber drivers. Two minor issues: the sliding glass door to the lanai was a little sticky, and the pull-out couch was a bit hard on this 58 year old. Otherwise a fantastic place overall and will stay again! Mahalo!
