My recent stay at the Waikiki Resort Hotel was a mixed bag. On the one hand, the location is truly unbeatable. Being just a block from the beach means you can be on the sand in a matter of minutes, and it's surrounded by countless shops and restaurants. The staff was also friendly and helpful throughout our stay, and the daily housekeeping kept our room clean and tidy. The hotel itself is well-maintained and provides a comfortable base for exploring the area. However, a major point of frustration was the parking situation. While the hotel does offer on-site self-parking, it comes with a hefty price tag of around $47 per day, which is a significant extra cost on top of the room rate. What's worse is that the parking is described as "limited" and is offered on a first-come, first-served basis. This creates a stressful situation, especially when you've rented a car to explore the island and rely on having a secure spot to park it at the end of the day. For a hotel in a major tourist hub, the lack of guaranteed parking for guests is a serious issue. If you're planning on using a rental car for your stay, be prepared for the possibility of having to find alternative (and potentially even more expensive) parking options off-site, or simply choose to rely on rideshares and public transportation to avoid the headache altogether.

Fantastic Hotel!

We had a wonderful time and found Waikiki Resort Hotel to be wonderful. Friendly and helpful staff, quiet rooms, comfy beds and daily service. We were only steps from waikiki beach. Overall it was wonderful and we would happily stay again!

I loved our view from our balcony to the beach. Staff was very friendly. I also forgot two clothing items in the drawer, by the time I remembered I was already back home. I called the hotel and spoke with housekeeping and they found my items and are preparing to have them mailed back to me. I have to pay a small fee but I'm very grateful they went out of their way to look for it. They also had complimentary breakfast which was pretty good! I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to my friends!

The property in general is great: great location,food is good,staff is accommodating and friendly, beds are comfortable and kept every day. My only recommendation for the hotel is to clean the carpets, the hallways and room are musty and you can see the carpets has not been clean for a long time only vacuumed. Need a little bit of upkeep. I will recommend this place because people are friendly and is a great place.
