Eclise at the lake house

We had an amazing time during our stay. The house was clean and will kept. The view of the water was great and we loved fishing off the dock. We also loved roasting marshmallows on the fire pit, but the most amazing part was watching the eclipse from the rooftop deck on top of the boat dock. Will definitely be back when it's warmer for some more fun on the lake.

Anchor's Away is a Must Stay!

Enjoyed our Stay at Anchor's Away; and all the Extra Toys. We appreciated the Paddle Boards and Kayaks to use during our stay. The House was Perfect for our Grandkids; especially the Room with the Bunk Beds and Crib! Everything was Nice and Clean! The Host was very responsive to all my questions before our stay; which I truly appreciated! We will make this a Family Tradition Trip every Summer! We had a Great Time!

Exactly what my family needed

Very clean. Photos are accurate. A great spot for our family to gather. We haven’t been together since our mother passed in 2021 so much appreciated this gathering place to laugh and reconnect. Numerous areas to sit and relax inside or out. Decorated nicely, AC nice and cold. Outdoor seating for all. A couple small grassed areas to play games. Later checkout of 11am gave us time to clean up. Nice short list to do prior to leaving. Extras like bath toiletries and kitchen supplies made packing easy. Beverage refrigerator was also a plus to keep refreshments cold. Thank you! We would recommend this home for sure!

Pros and cons

This house is in a great location. If you’re brining a boat it’s also a perfect spot. Kids had lots of activities to do such as ride bikes, fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding, puzzles and board games. The house is listed as no pets allowed but when we arrived we could smell dog pretty strong in the house so we had to go buy stuff to mask the smell. We have no pets so this was one reason for renting. We also had to order washcloths as only 4 were in the home and we booked for 6 people. We also had to buy toilet paper as only 5 rolls total were in the home for 8 days we rented. These aren’t major but items you may need to know to prepare if renting here. Kings size bed was comfortable, bunk beds the bottom bunk support is lying on the floor below the bed but my teen son didn’t have any issues. The other bedroom my daughters had issues with the mattress being thin and no box spring so it felt like bars against her back. She happen to have her air mattress so she blew that up and put on top the bed and she was fine. The air conditioner was working amazingly and we never ran gout of hot water showering which was so nice. It was great to be able to cook and grill throughout the week as they did have everything we needed in the kitchen. There are more pros then cons so we will more than likely be back and know what to bring ahead of time with us.
