NOT WORTH THE MONEY. accident about to happen.

Publié le 4 mai 2020 sur Hotels
Nobody was there to greet us, due to poor phone reception on this area, which should of been taken in consideration , I was lost for at least an hour, the place does not have numbers on the street. Don't know if its because ,according to a local, you can not rent a place in the area, or what.Once we found the property, we didn't know which cabin was it,!!! found set of keys on the first cabin we look , and we got in. evidently, the owner/manager, does not go often to the property since it was not clean, spider webs were covering a lot of spaces. floor boards were lifting out of the floor, inviting anybody to have an accident, due to splintered wood.. shower didn't have the handle for hot water, told the owner and she sent a guy to look at the problem, that gave me the impression he knew about it, and as a solution he left a lock channel to open and close the shower handle!!!!!! again, very unhappy.!!!!!!!! I expected a nicer place, specially for the price i was charged, $249.00 plus $183.12 in taxes and fees, NOT WORTH IT the $ 432.12 !!!!!!!! at all!!!!!!!!!!!! Much to be desired.

Clean, Cozy & Comfortable but No Service

Publié le 3 janv. 2013 sur Hotels
Overall, we did like the cabin (Sleeping Beauty). It is small (I would guess about 700 sq.ft), but enough for 2-3 days stay. Four of us (2 adults, 2 kids) fit in just fine. Since the 2nd cabin on the property was under remodel (Serenity), we had full use of the property as well. Heater kept us worm. Nice bathroom and kitchen (nice tile), clean and updated. Very usable kitchen with a full size stove and refrigerator. DVD player worked. However, it is too expensive! You can rent a comparable (or a lot bigger) cabin in Idyllwild for half-the-price. The only reason we took it is that we were taking the trip last minute and everything else was booked. For the premium price, I would certainly expect a full roll of toilet paper (a few sheets left?), a roll of paper towel, and > 17" TV. Also, I am rating service as 1 (would rate as 0 if I could) because we never got any instructions for check-in and were never able to reach anyone on the phone (the voicemail said that message box was full). For a while I was freaking out standing in front of the cabin in the blizzard w/o a key. Eventually we did find the key.

This should be taken off Hotels.com

This is like going to an abandoned house. There is no one on sight. They did not answer their phones for the 1st 8 calls. The grounds were shabby and very run down. It was way over priced. We left without staying and found a beautiful place for 1/2 the price in town. We were so frustrated and disgusted with the management and the exterior of the place it set a bad tone to start our anniversary of 22 years. We have never left a place before.

Always Inn Cottages in Idylwild CA

Publié le 20 juin 2011 sur Hotels
The rate was not correct online. The owner/manager called me the day before we were to check in an dtold me that if I wanted to keep the reservation I was going to have to pay more and extend my stay to 2 days instead of one. I was not happy at all. After checking with the property manager the owner/management company called back and stated that they would allow us to stay for one day only, though we still had to pay a higher fee. Instead of trying to find another hotel/cottage for the night, we decided to go ahead and pay the extra fee and check in. The property itself was very private, which I think would be the best thing that I can say about it. The cottage itself was not very comfortable as far as being able to kick back and relax. The furniture was not very comfortable and the bed was very uncomfortable. I was very unhappy with being told that I had to pay more than what I had booked it for. I will not return to any of their properties. I do want to say that Jim, whom I talked to and checked in and out with was very nice and very considerate.

The Always Inn

The cottage was quaint and very cozy. The electric heaters were very adequate, the kitchen was just enough for a small gathering, the beds comfortable and the town, of course, very cute. The 3 Bears Cottage was well lived in and for the price, was everything one could expect.

Actually a cabin

Publié le 12 sept. 2009 sur Hotels
Cabin was not within walking distance of anything. Shrubs around hard to find driveway scratched the car. Cabin was okay but had old scrambled eggs under placemat. Bathroom door was a pocket door which as they all do frequently jammed. Couch was a futon with a heavy pad which kept unfolding making it impossible to sit on. We were only there 2 nights and the mountains were nice but the cabin was overpriced for the quality.
