Stunning 5-bedroom farmhouse within easy reach of North Devon beaches
The beautiful Higher Mullacott Farmhouse comfortably accommodates up to 10 in five bedrooms and is the perfect self-catering property for large groups or families looking for a memorable summer holiday in North Devon. Situated on the outskirts of Ilfracombe, the farmhouse is within easy reach of many of the area number one attractions, including the award-winning Woolacombe beach, which is just a 10-minute drive away. This tastefully decorated farmhouse has a wonderful mix of period charm and modern day elegance. Dating back to the 17th century, the recently refurbished farmhouse (2021) has a wonderful home-away-from-home atmosphere.
Finished to a very high standard the farmhouse has plenty of space both inside and out for all the family to enjoy. On the ground floor of the property there is a well-equipped farmhouse kitchen with flagstone floors, appliances fitted include an electric range cooker, a separate electric oven and hob, a fridge, two freezers, coffee machine and a dishwasher. The kitchen also has a comfy seating area, and a large dining table to seat 10. Shallow steps lead from the kitchen to the utility area where the washing machine can be found along with a ground floor cloakroom. A door leads out to the communal gardens, which cover around 3.5 acres and feature table tennis, a football area, a children's play area and landscaped gardens for enjoying a picnic. A smaller terrace area can be found to the front of the farmhouse.
The living room at the farmhouse is full of character with exposed stone walls and wood beams. Within the lounge there are large sofas and a TV. Off the lounge is the handy downstairs bedroom, which has a double bed and benefits from an en-suite shower room.
Upstairs there are a further four bedrooms, these include the Master with king-size bed and en-suite shower room, one double bedroom with a flat screen smart TV and king-sized bed, and one twin bedroom, and one double or twin (depending on your requirements) with a flat screen smart TV and fabulous views of the garden and the other with courtyard views. The final three bedrooms share the family bathroom, which has a bath with shower overhead.
