Une semaine extraordinaire dans ce chaleureux cottage où vous trouverez tout ce dont vous avez besoin. La cheminée est un véritable plus lorsque les premières neiges tombent....La vue est à couper le souffle et change d'une minute à l'autre. Idéalement placée pour découvrir les richesses des highlands, vous passerez d'inoubliables vacances dans ce fabuleux pays.

First and foremost I agree with other reviews about the views from the cottage and the location. Absolutely fantastic. Unfortunately our experience does then differ from others. When we arrived we found that the hedges were over grown to the point my car was scratched by it several times. We entered the cottage to find that it had a particular smell, which I discovered to be from the kitchen. Whilst it has been surface cleaned I did note the grease running down the walls above the window and the greasy broken extractor. When using the oven the door doesn't always stay shut. Another perculiarity was the thermostat is been locked up so you cannot adjust the heating which wasn't particularly helpful when it was cold and stormy for my young children or elderly relatives who were with us. We managed though until the latter part of our stay when it apparently stopped working altogether. I looked in the guest manual and found the instructions on operating the previous heating system. Fortunately an online search provided some override instructions. However when looking in the guest book I noted that all the safety certificates were out of date, I hope that they have been done and just forgotten to update. I also did not see a pulic liability insurance certificate. There were a couple of niggles which I would have just chalked up to the "rustic" nature of the property. Unfortunately rustic is in the rear view and we are comfortably in the realms of tired.

Tolles Ferienhaus mit fantastischer Lage

Sehr gut zu erreichendes Ferienhaus mit tollem Blick auf Loch Ness. Alles, was für einen Aufenthalt benötigt wird, war in guter Qualität vorhanden. Nichts zu beanstanden.Vom Haus aus kann man eine super Wanderung hoch auf die Berge machen. Zu empfehlen ist auf jeden Fall auch ein Besuch im Loch Ness Center, vor allem für Familien. Ein absolutes Muss wenn man alles über Nessie und das Loch Ness erfahren möchte.

Loved staying here. It was the perfect ending to the day after venturing out to several different locations.Beautiful scenery and plenty of peace and quiet. If you are planning on staying near Inverness, I would highly recommend this place!

Roomy and Picturesque

The property is spacious and beautiful. The views are spectacular. The location is perfect for exploring the area and close enough to town in both directions to give you options for wating, shopping, and getting out. Local trails come near to the street the house is on making it easy to explore. We loved our stay.

Superb location

Family home with all the necessary amenities. Plenty of room for everyone. The views from the conservatory are to die for, uninterrupted views of Loch Ness. The main sitting area with its panelled walls and open fire offers a cosy warm and feels very ‘Scottish’. The kitchen and utility room are large and have everything you need for your stay. Bedroom downstairs was very roomy, however the downstairs shower room has a high step into shower and we found it too high for my elderly mother. The owner is looking into redesigning this, to make it more user friendly. The two rooms upstairs are large and I must confess we moved the bed in our room to see the views when we woke up, rather than facing wardrobes. Plenty of wardrobes and drawers for clothes in both bedrooms. Bathroom is large, with a large bath and walk in shower. Garden front and back is large enough for for children and dogs to safely play as it is gated. Overall the home is perfect for visiting other areas. A car is essential here and in Inverness there are plenty of supermarkets. The owner is very prompt at replying to any problems. We noted in the conservatory three windows had blown spoiling the view, but I sent him a message and he thanked me and said he would get someone over. In fact I feel that unless to inform owners good or bad; things cannot be changed. You certainly cannot say this is not good value because it is. It’s warm, welcoming and homely. I would highly recommend it.

Beautiful house & area

So homely, easy to relax here and whatever the weather there is always plenty to do. Walks are easy to access from the door, dolphins up the road, castles, waterfalls, fossil beach on the Black Isle and always reading or games in the conservatory. Inverness itself is so convenient but you feel as if you’re fully in the countryside. Our second holiday here and hopefully not our last.
