I arrived very late & was given a room on the top floor. There are no elevators so I had to ask reception to help with my carryon which they gladly helped. The room is a nice size with old furnitures. The ceiling light was not bright so I needed to plug the bedside ones as well. Bathroom is a bit moldy and the towels some are stained. The bathmat’s ends are frail already and should be retired. Bed you can tell is also need replacing as it is lopsided. One thing I do like is the free breakfast & location.

Did not view from the balcony this time , but was good on our last visit , will try and view again on our stay on the 25/26Oct .The hotel is positioned so well to see the main sites and only a short walk with cafes , shops , restaurants close by

Disappointing Experience – Do Not Recommend I was extremely disappointed with my stay at this hotel. The room was in terrible condition — dirty, neglected, and nothing like the photos. The bedding, which should have been white, was a worn-out yellow, and the curtains were ripped. The entire room felt more like a prison cell than a place to relax. I left immediately and chose not to stay even one night. Unfortunately, because I booked through Expedia as a non-refundable reservation, I wasn’t able to get a refund — but I would strongly advise others to stay away from this hotel. It was not worth the money or the stress.

Construction were happening around the hotel site. Hotel is excellent condition, no noise issues in the evening, but surrounding was not pretty to look at. Overall good for crashing for the night, and head out. Great value due to excellent breakfast. Very helpful staff.

Pictures are 20 years out of date. This was a dirty, not well maintained hotel with NO AIR CON IN 30C+temps. Avoid at all costs. I was completely mislead by pics and other “reviews”

Friendly helpful staff. Lovely roof terrace with view of the sea of Mamara. We went there to eat our great hotel breakfast 5-6 cute cats run around. Very close to Sultanamet hippodrome and the Blue Mosque. Quiet at night, so overall a great place to stay. Can highly recommend.

Book it!

Not usually someone who write reviews, but Rumours deserves it! Great location for Sultanahmet sights, nice spacious room (we had a triple), fantastic Turkish breakfast, and staff that went above and beyond to help when my bag was late arriving after it was left behind by my airline. Would whole-heartedly recommend! I do a lot of research when booking accommodations so I hope this can help others coming to Istanbul!

Absolutely loved this hotel. Lovely room- we had a standard double. Clean, great breaiabd friendly staff. No negative points at all. Very near all the attractions and reasonably priced restaurants on the doorstep. We particularly liked the Pasta and pizza place-Ozi's. Lovely root top terrace to relax on too.
