The setting was is wonderful. the food in the restaurant was outstandiong. The problem is that the front desk staff was not conversant on English. They helped as best they could. other problem, when huge crowd comes to breakfast, cleaning up dirty dishes took a long time. Had to waive down staff to clear table so we ca n sit and start buffet breakfastt. Dinner the American food was not good, we had to send a dish back that was stale. Also there were 4 weddings in 4 days. One time both wedding area and extra restaurant _healthy food) was packed so we could not dine. Had to go to the third restaurant with mediocre American food and dirty dishes not cleared from the tables yet. The bar area need stools around bar to be more welcoming. Love the setting and European decor.

Not bad...location makes it a little difficult

Publié le 25 janv. 2019 sur Hotels
This was an decent hotel for Taishan. The location is away from the downtown area, so getting around was spittle more difficult. Hote was older but very grand. The Buffett included was pretty good. Not bad... that say it’s the best in town. Location makes it just ok for us.

Clean, big rooms, nice hotel in the area

Publié le 18 nov. 2018 sur Hotels
The room was spacious and clean. Complimentary bottles of water. There was a soaking tub and a shower and a pedestal toilet. Free WiFi throughout the hotel. The restaurant food was fresh and delicious. The free breakfast buffet had lots of options, decent for being included in the price.

One of the worst hotel experience I've ever had

Publié le 5 avr. 2018 sur Expedia
If I could give this hotel zero starts, I would. When we first arrived at the hotel, the front desk staff could not find my reservation for 5 rooms even though I had made it a month in advance on Expedia. They told us to come back after lunch while they looked into it. When we came back from lunch, we had to bother the front desk a few more times until they let us speak to the manager. The manager told us she still couldn't find the reservation, but could provide us with 5 rooms while they looked into it. The first room I entered was clearly a smoking room. It smelled like raw sewage and there were nasty stains all over the carpet and the walls. This was the case with 2 other rooms. I stayed in the room for a few minutes just to see if I could get used to it, but I couldn't. I asked to change my room and the second one was better. It even had a balcony view. However, the bathroom in all 5 rooms was pretty disgusting. The tiles looked like it had mold and mildew and the shower drains looked like they had never been cleaned. One of our rooms had a clogged sink drain and another room's toilet got clogged. Rooms did not come with converters/adapters for US devices. Breakfast buffet was included and had a fair mix of Chinese and western options. The translations of the foods were literal and entertaining. In the end, I never got an explanation about what happened with my online reservation. I would definitely choose to stay at another hotel next time. Not worth the USD we paid.

Overall nice except for air conditioning throughout Hotel. Seems like they were trying to save on electricity.
