Was charged when booking was not confirmed. Really poor and confusing communication from both Hotels.com and Ocean View Villa. Neither taking responsibility. Would not recommend

Hello Natalie, I'm so sorry for all the confusion here between Hotel.com and the email they sent to you that the room was not confirmed. The room was confirmed and booked for you over nine months, you didn't call us at Ocean View Villa or send an email to find out if the room was booked for you. I have the room booked and held for you, I have turned away guests who wanted to stay, just to hold the two nights for you, you booked a nonrefunded room. You didn't get to stay here because you didn't check with us before going and booked someplace else. I have the room open and ready for you on your arrival date, I sent you an email to enquire about your arrival time, and that's when you are telling me that you go ahead and book someplace else. We are very sorry for any inconvenience this has caused.

Karen is AWESOME and the room was beautiful! We had amazing views from the balcony and a pleasant breeze. I'd highly recommend thos for an amazing experience!!!

And the vibe is perfect for relaxing and enjoying a beautiful island. Karen and Nigel were great hosts and did everything in their power to make sure their guests had nothing to worry about except enjoying their vacation. Do yourself a favor and rent the car from them, you're going to need it to explore JVD. Karen gave us awesome recommendations on restaurants and places to go. We can't wait to go back.

Very comfortable, clean rooms with amazing view. Karen was very accommodating and also arraigned for a car rental for a day which is a good way to explore the island. Attached photos are from our room
