Enjoy the entire Cottage to yourself and your guests! It accommodates groups well with its three bedrooms (King/Queen/Full) and two full bathrooms- both with large rainfall showerheads. Larger bathroom has jetted tub, perfect for relaxing with a glass of local wine. Board games are provided if you'd like to stay in and enjoy the house. The kitchen is stocked with pots/pans/kitchen staples for meals in, or enjoy everything Weston has to offer just steps from the front porch.
My husband and I got married and wanted to stay somewhere in town. This was a charming house. Plenty of space and had everything we needed! We enjoyed our stay. Some things are a little couldâve been a bit more clean/ overall maintenance in house could use a bit of work. We had a great stay and walking distance to the main strip of Weston.
Enjoyed this sweet city. This rental was very nice. Beds very comfortable, breakfast items very plentiful, well stocked paper products. Very close to stores and restaurants. Owner was very helpful, great rental for 5 ladies.
We were tavelling across country for a big move and this stay was just what we needed! Great space and Beth was super responsive!Would recommend for anyone, but especially if you have any pets!!
The house is in a fantastic location! You can walk to everything! Super cute, plenty of space for the 6 of us and very clean! The only complaint we would have is the oven didnât work well (cooking pizzas) but they eventually cooked just took longer than usual. We will for sure stay there again! Love the double swings on the front porch! Loved it!!!
noone was there to let us in. The person who was supposed to was a no show. We sat out front leaving messages on the owners [phone with no response. By 7 we had to give up and make other arrangements. persoanally an emabreasment to weston as a destination and to vrbo. How incredibly awful. I'll be filing acredit card action to dismiss charges. You should delist this property so others dont go through this
When we first arrived at the cottage on main we didn't realize that several of the shades were completely transparent until it was too late. My mom, Aunt and myself noted that the larger bathroom at the back of the house had a window in the shower without any covering on it and while there is not a residence directly behind the house you can still easily see down where the homes are at the bottom of the hill therefore they can see up and into the shower. For that reason, we elected to shower in the other bathroom that first night where the window treatment appears opaque and gives the false impression that you are safely and privately concealed while nude and bathing. However, it wasn't until the last night when I stepped outside in the dark that I realized that the house next door and passersby on the street had a full and unconcealed view of our nudity for the duration of our showers. We took photos to document what we discovered and shared it with the host who never responded. I felt and still feel violated thinking about who may have seen me and whether or not I could have been photographed or videoed while naked on display. The same transparent shades are in the kitchen and the bedroom I resided in therefore each time I undressed in there before this realization took place I was also on display once again. After the host never responded I contacted VRBO customer support who said they couldnât help me because our reservation had ended before we elected to call them.
This is the 2nd stay in the last 1.5 years for my group of friends on this property. We love the location- right on main and within walking distance to all shops, restaurants, museums, wineries and bars. It has off street parking which is great for when Weston is busy. The property managers are polite but don't seem to be as engaged as they were on our last booking. I had to remind them to send us our check-in information because it was less than 24 hours and we still didn't have it. The property is old but pretty nice. Old houses have quirks and this one is no exception. There are iffy fixes going on and the main shower ceiling needs new ventalation as it was moldy. But the water was nice and hot. We were missing basic supplies that I thought we would have- a pizza cutter, more paper towels, foil for cooking, any plastic bags for storage and decent shampoo/conditioner/body wash in the showers. Also it doesn't appear the top level of the double oven works. Overall the house was clean and stayed warm. The linens were clean. I did find that when we would leave and come back the house smelled like smoke. Not sure if the basement on site manager smokes but it was really odd as no one in our party smokes and we saw no one smoking outside. We will defiantly be staying again as I think this property has the best location and best space for friends but I will say it just wasn't as nice as it was the first time we were out.
I'd like to say that our stay was enjoyable, but we didn't actually get to stay at the property! Due to unforseen conflicts, I was unable to stay at this property for the night I booked. I tried SEVERAL times to contact the property manage to rebook a different date and the hosts NEVER responded. I know that the fault was on my part and the hosts are not required to allow me to change dates, but I was hopeful that I could explain the situation and rebook on an open date. NOPE...the hosts would not respond. I sent 5 messages through the VRBO app and texted the hosts at the number they provided and NEVER received any response. I ended up paying half of the rental feel and that's all this host will get from me. Hopefully you won't need anything from these hosts either before or during your stay, because the communication is lacking.
Our 3rd stay at the Cottage, the location cannot be beat. The living space is wonderfully convenient. Continues to be in need of some TLC, but the pros still outweigh the cons.
This property was not as nice as I expected based on our previous VRBO rentals and the overall star rating listed here. PROs: excellent location, comfortable beds, some breakfast foods provided, enough room in the main living area, sufficient kitchen equipment (except only one dish towel), friendly communication (could have been a little quicker, but mostly okay). CONs: We were not informed until arrival that a caretaker lives in the basement (separate entrance). Not cool. We felt self-conscious, including a need to shush people in the early morning. Some in our party smelled smoke after our first day (5 night stay)--coming from basement? Dirty/dusty floors, fridge not wiped out, no dresser in one bedroom (5 night stay!), weird/squeaky non-cotton bath towels, nowhere to hang more than one towel per bathroom. Sleeps six but the only eating surface is the kitchen counter with three barstools--why two living rooms and no table? We were in the area for a happy, busy six days and didn't spend much time in the cottage. The location was terrific and we enjoyed having space for several family members. I don't need fancy accommodations but did hope for more cleanliness. That and the lack of some touches I consider standard for guests in my home made me feel taken for granted/uncared for.
The tub does not hold water, ceiling over tub is falling. An attempted patch w plastic and tape was not successful.
Both showers need thorough cleaning and repair
