There is over 3,000 sq. ft. of living space for your perfect family experience! The 1,640-sq.-ft. cottage features an open-concept living area with full size kitchen and a grand stone fireplace alongside the living quarters consisting of four bedrooms that comfortably sleep 12 people. Outdoors, time seems to slow down, conversations grow livelier, and families draw closer when everyone gathers together on your spacious 1100-sq.-ft open deck with outdoor kitchen, bar and dining area including 440-sq.-ft timber frame pergola with an inspiring Barkman Concrete fireplace and 400-sq-ft of covered deck. Spend quality time off-the-grid and take advantage of everything the island has to offer with world-class views of the breathtaking landscapes of Lake of the Woods/Shoal Lake, an outdoor experience you deserve...canât forget about the world-class fishing! Enjoy your day re-energizing yourself on the water or hiking the 1.2 km nature trail around the island, or the countless trails on the mainland. Endless hours of swimming, kayaking, boating and snorkelling are there to behold at your new home away from home. In winter, experience snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, ice fishing and snowmobiling to appreciate the regionâs snowy season. Youâll have plenty of bird sightings with an eagleâs nest high above the property. Including an old gold mine on Miner's Island just a short kayak/canoe ride away. â Ash Rapids Lodge Restaurant is approximately 30 minute boat ride from the island. Its open Wednesday to Sunday and requires reservation. â at Shoal Lake Landing Store you can get fuel and very basic groceries like chips and canned goods on the water which is approximately 15 minutes by boat. â The closest grocery store is Clearwater Market which is approximately 30 minutes from Clytie Bay landing or Falcon Meat and Grocery which is approximately 40 minutes. â Kenora is a 50 minute drive from Clytie Bay and offers lots of restaurants and unique shopping as well as grocery store and department stores â Golf course, mini golf, tennis, beaches and restaurants at Falcon Lake are a 40 minute drive from Clytie Bay â Restaurants, ice cream shops and beach at West Hawk Lake, are a 30 minute drive from Clytie Bay â If you have your own boat you can use the launch your boat at Clydie Bay Landing off of Rush Bay road â The boat ride to the island is approximately 10 minutes (depending on your load and weather) We will watch the weather radar and make sure we can make it safely, if we don't feel the water safe we will adjust your reservation at no extra charge. â We offer transportation in and out on check in and check out for $150 each for the first load and $75/additional load. We estimate 4 people plus belongings per load. â You can rent a boat at Pike Powersports near Clear Water Bay or Parkside Rentals near Birds Hill â You will want to pack efficiently and consider what can be carried up the stairs to the cottage. â Key to gain access into the cottage is in a lock box on the Island â 2 boat docking locations on Island. â We have partnerships with aircraft carriers for access with either float plane or helicopter, access is unrestricted! â Ice road access for winter stays off Clytie Bay Road. â Travel time with a vehicle from Winnipeg perimeter highway is around 2.5 hours through Freedom road or 2 hours if using Clydie Bay landing. Our cleaning fee insures that the cottage and property is clean and stocked so you can begin your adventure right away. The cottage will be cleaned and sanitized with bedding changed and cleaned between each guest, basic supplies such as soaps and toilet paper restocked. When you leave you only need to clean the dishes and garbage and take your things. Check out: 11:00 am â Please have the cottage clean and furniture (indoor and outdoor) in its place. â Make sure all the dishes are cleaned and put away â Wipe counter tops and stove â Put all towels, bed sheets (fitted and flat sheet, not mattress protector) and pillowcases that were used into the laundry room (NOT DUVET COVERS) â Make sure the BBQ is turned off â Empty fridge, freezer and cupboards of all your food to bring home with you â Pick up any garbage on the property â Take all garbage and recyclables with you â Have all your belongings ready on the dock to load in the boat
