Nice location but facilities are a bit dated. Parking is extra $30 + tax per day. Declined for an early check-in as "the hotel was fully booked the previous night". When we came back after 4:30pm, there was a line-up of 6-7 ppl and it took well over 10 minutes to get . The room was fairly clean but no toilet paper in the bathroom.

Great location, hotel was clean and quiet when I went (Sunday-Tuesday). So close to loads of things which is why we chose this specific hotel. Safe were polite and were helpful.

View from room was supposed to be “river view”, however, very misleading. The view was of a partial river view but mainly a parking lot and old unused pool. Balcony was extremely dirty, bugs and spider webs surrounded the railing and screen door, which was not properly cut to size. Cleaning crew were consistently in hallway at every hour of the day, multiple at a time. Hallways were filthy and not vacuumed.

The Holiday Inn, Kingston is top notch. The room was fantastic and we went with a harbour view. The staff is very professional and friendly. You can walk to restaurants and shopping.

Pros: location, clean and updated lobby (albeit small), clean and updated rooms, ample counter space in bathroom, good hotel amenities, beds and pillows are comfortable Cons: exterior of building needs a facelift, carpeting in hallways is filthy, paid parking, non-HD tv, poor water pressure in shower, faucet in bathroom is affixed too far back from sink making it difficult to wash hands, a/c in rooms is very noisy.

It’s not a $440 hotel.

I paid $440 for this room. It was a special occasion and I splurged. I usually stay in $200 hotels Max. This was not a $440 hotel. The bathroom amenities were plain soap and shampoo and conditioner, nothing more. Cheap plastic water cup. The coffee maker was lacking options, 1 kind of plain coffee. The “partial city view” was all just parking lot. Absolutely nothing wrong, but not worth $440. It could have been a motel 6 off the highway.

The balcony was filthy we told them and they cleaned it 12 hrs later we paid for water front and couldn't got on the balcony it was to dirty. It took the young man 1 hour a 40 min to clean that's how dirty it was. Full of dead bugs all over, even under the chairs, it hadn't been cleaned in weeks im sure.
