Dear "Anonymous",We take this opportunity to thank you and your family for staying with us and for your many verbal expressions of delight and appreciation of our accommodation, our garden, décor and for the Tropical Continental Breakfasts that we serve daily. You were gracious guests in every way and we particularly appreciated your flexibility by paying in cash when our card facility was not available. That the exchange rate quoted was initially incorrect by US2 was an oversight on our part and we thank you for making good on the difference of 37. We acknowledge your post stay letter confirming that your research into our country's tiered foreign exchange rate system concurs with our explanations to you.Every effort is being made to initiate your sound advice of incorporating that detail on our listing platforms to ensure that transparency is not only provided but also seen to be provided; this to avoid a reoccurence. Our kind regards to you and your family.Sincerely,Michelle (Neita).Owner/Manager.

While we respect your preference for anomnity, we so appreciate that you felt right at home with our family and are willing to share your feelings here. At Neita's Nest, we offer a homestay experience; we live here, we welcome you, we prepare your meals, your room, and assist by ensuring that you achieve your bucket list while here in Kingston. And, with our new highways, even day trips to other destinations across Jamaica are doable from your home base. Whether the purpose of your stay is vacation, business, research, rest or a special occasion, we know that your time here is premium, so we help you maximise each moment by introducing you to the Kingston we love, the experiences we enjoy, ensuring that you feel welcomed and relaxed on your return home. As our tagline states, "Why visit like a tourist when you can live with Jamaicans?" It is a natural way of being for us. Cheers,

Neita's Nest B&B exceeded my expectations for hospitality and service. Unique & appropriate recommendations (touristy & local) that provided for a memorable experience. The views surrounding the property are breathtaking and wrap around seating around the home prove ample space to sit and relax; enjoying the night-time breeze and birds chirping in the trees. My only recommendation would be to provide more comfortable seating options...hammocks perhaps? With Neita's Nest, I had peace of mind & a sense of security during the trip. A++

Our Dear Anonymous Guest, We are so very happy that you decided to spend your entire vacation in Jamaica with us, and are doubly delighted that you found peace of mind and a sense of security during your time at our homestay bed and breakfast in Kingston. You opted for a community tourism experience, and that is exactly what we offer. In fact, our tagline is "Why visit like a tourist when you can live with Jamaicans?" It is clear that you enjoyed our home as much as you enjoyed exploring our city and suburbs. Thank you for your recommendation. The garden furniture that was in your favourite spot is a new addition to our outdoor patio furniture. You will be pleased to know that we do have a hammock; we just have not hung it yet. Will send you a photo when we decide where; probably under the treehouse. What do you think? Thank you for staying and enjoying. Cheers, Michelle. .

Unique, spotless, small-scale, and homey. A different gourmet breakfast every day on the shaded veranda. When have you had smoked marlin? Calalou quiche? Rooms face the Blue Mountains and are cooled by nature. They connected me with a friend who collects orchids like me. Nearby restaurant Cellar 8 makes good veggie burgers and their own coconut ice cream!

Would you know, over the years, several guests have asked if the moutains that we face are the Blue Mountains. I have always said that they are much further back and out of out line of vision. It was not until a few months ago when I looked on a map showing the Blue and John Crow Mountains, that I realised that they border on the Hermitage Dam, just across from us. So yes, we do face the cooling Blue Mountains, which makes our view all the more special. With such a beautiful ambience, the tone is set for a calming, homey experience in our small bed and breakfast. We are only too happy that you found your experience to be unnique, our home to be spotless and our meals to be at the standard of "gourmet".. With our personal love for tasty meals, we are selective with our dinner recommendations. Cellar 8 fits the bill. Glad you enjoyed your experiencce here. Michelle.

Beautiful location in New Kingston

We loved our stay at Neita's Nest. Michelle, the manager was very personable and gave us the most comprehensive detailed instructions as to how to get to her place! She made us feel very welcome and at home and answered any questions we had regarding directions to places and where to eat etc. It was very much appreciated as we were tired after our long flight to Kingston. The B&B is situated in a most amazing place at the top of a mountain with a stunning view. We slept well!

Comfortable, safe accommodations, excellent views

Posted Feb. 3, 2018 on Expedia
Pros: Gated property, safe neighborhood, private location, beautiful plants, wonderful Host, covered garage, Jamaican windows, amazing views.
Cons: There should be a sign at the front of the property indicating "Neita's Nest".
Location: Close proximity to the Kingston Airport and Jamaica's capital. Perfect location for exploring the Blue Mountains for all the coffee and nature lovers.
Amazing views, loved the breakfast and evenings on the balcony. Beautiful plants on the property. Very private and very safe location. Property is gated and has a covered garage. Wonderful Host. I booked this property because I did not want to stay in a hotel and did not want to be in a heavily populated area and was not disappointed. Close proximity to stores but you have the piece and quite on the property and immediate neighborhood. The Host is very accommodating with dietary requests. Breakfast was always very delicious and fresh, a more modernized spin on the traditional Jamaican cuisine. I love to try the traditional food wherever I go to so this was a good experience. The property is very well maintained, clean and quiet. The sound carries and you may hear noises from afar at night but that's an interesting experience in itself. The night sounds of Jamaica... General tip for a tourist visiting Jamaica: have some patience, smile, slow down and enjoy. A fresh-made meal is worth waiting for. People are very nice and helpful. The property owner - Michelle has a vast knowledge of the area so ask her anything you want to know or are not sure about. We were a group of 3 female adults, opted for a car rental. It was my first time driving in Jamaica with the left side traffic, windy roads, multitude of potholes, some very deep. This may not be suitable for a first time visitor unless you have done something like this before. If you drive, take it slow and honk on windy roads.

Dear Magdalena, we appreciate you for taking the ime to write your review of your stay with us here at Neita's Nest, and for including such detail of our hospitality, service, meals and safety. Potential guests will find yours useful. For their benefit, in particular, I should clarify that ours is a private bed and breakfast. We offer a homestay-styled experience. To protect the safety, security and, indeed, privacy of our guests and household, we do not accept same day bookings. For that reason, we decidedly do not put up a sign at our gate. When guests book in advance, we immediately send directions; these our guests find accurate and helpful in all its detail. So Magdalena, you are indeed correct when you say that ours is a "very private location". We are glad that we fitted the bill for you in terms of being away from the more heavily populated areas of the city. Being in a suburban neighbourhood, we have a slightly rural look, feel and sound, while being just 5 minutes from the nearest commencial district, Manor Park. The garden is a work in progress and our part time gardener will be delighted when I share your feedback with him. We are located in the Stony Hill area, and you can well imagine the challenges of turning a rocky and sloping terrain into a colourful garden. We are pleased with the process, and thank you. Thank you for choosing to stay with us.
