The view over Knysna was excellent. The room was up to standard and clean. Staff pleasant. That’s where it ends. The dining was poor. A number of items on the menu not available. Breakfast average at best. Overpriced.

Nice hotel

Nice hotel, friendly staff. Rooms are comfortable. It’s in at the top of the hill overlooking Knysna and not walkable. Not much in Knysa except the waterfront. It’s an overprice place for food and not much to see. The hotel was nice but I would stay in Plettenberg Bay instead.

Stay here, you won't be disappointed!!

A great hotel! Rooms were spacious and clean. The pool area was gorgeous with the most spectacular view! A bit far from town but they do offer a shuttle. Because the hotel was so beautiful, we decided to eat in the restaurant there instead of the town and was so glad that we did! The service was amazing and the food delicious! A big thank you to Elrico who went above and beyond to make our stay most memorable!

Quiet hotel with excellent views!

Lovely place with excellent view over Knysna - staff very efficient and courteous. Little bit disappointed with breakfast - convoluted; coffee or juice both not both and one coffee - pay extra to refill. No replenishing of water in the room - slight feeling of money pinching.

Heaven on earth

Thanks for a pleasant stay. The view was wonder full. The rooms were beautifull, especially the antiques. Just love everything, Koi fishes, breakfast, supper, the quietness and Nala the friendly Labby.

Good hotel

This is a nice hotel which is full of antiques. The rooms are done out nicely. The hotel is currently under some maintenance work due to the recent fires but is lucky to still be standing as the house next door was completely destroyed. My only complaint would be the noise of the air conditioning. Having turned off ours and the fridge as the made too much noise, I was still awoken by some other ac despite being the only guests (as it was put of season) and I was wearing earplugs. Breakfast is very good and staff are friendly and helpful.

I had an amazing stay at this hotel. The service is superb and the staff is very helpful and friendly. The room was nicely decorated and spacious. I would highly recommend this hotel for the location, staff, beautiful views from the pool area and spacious room.

Comfortable, quiet hotel with a lovely view

We were welcomed by the owner and the manager and taken to a very nice first floor room with a spacious balcony overlooking the lagoon at Knysna. The room was well-appointed, the bed very comfortable and the facilities just perfect for a long weekend stay. I was unwell for a few days so was able to rest in peace. Breakfasts are served in a separate building and the chef could not do enough to ensure that breakfasts were enjoyable and freshly prepared.

Highly recommend.

This hotel was stunning. From the service, views to the styling of the rooms. We had a big claw foot bath in our room which was big enough for two people. The honesty bar was fun and the DIY soft serve and popcorn was a fun novelty. Definitely recommend.

A fantastic B&B with views to die for

The host, Nan, and her team were extremely welcoming, helpful and informative and went out of their way to make our stay an enjoyable experience. It has only been open for less than a year and we think that Madison Manor is a fantastic B&B with outstanding views and service. We felt secure, there was plenty of parking and we used taxis to enjoy restaurants in the area rather than walk the hill!

Super Lage und unglaublich netter Service

Wir hatten eine Übernachtung gebucht. Unglaublich netter und familiärer Service. Haben wie so bisher noch nirgendwo erlebt. Die Herrin des Hauses hat uns zum Schluss sogar noch eine Alternativroute für den Rückweg ausgearbeitet. Unglaublich freundlich. Wir kommen wieder. Zudem hat das Hotel eine super Lage mit direktem Blick auf die Lagune von Knysna und nur eine kleine Anzahl an Zimmern, was den Aufenthalt nochmals angenehmer macht. Die Einrichtung ist sehr geschmackvoll. Teilweise erinnert es an ein Museum. Wirklich klasse!
