The airport transfer is a rort and a rip off. The Resort Manager is terrible. You have been warned. Lovely setting and clean large room. Fantastic staff in the restaurant and grounds, great people!

From the moment we arrived we felt welcomed. Such a beautiful place to relax. Grounds are very clean and tidy. Everyone is super friendly. You will need a car if you want to go anywhere. There is nothing really around the place. Next village is about 7mins by car ride. Rooms are nice. Please make sure you put the "clean my room" sign in a crack between the glass and wood on the door. It will blow off then your room will not get cleaned. If you hang the sign on your door, the wind blows it off. I think they may need to invest in wooden signs for the doors or make a sliding sign the states quiet please or clean my room. Every night go to reception and ask for wifi password. Its lovely to have alittle chat aswell. Breakfast is very plain if you want a full breakfast with eggs and bacon it will cost you . They dont provide enough soap for your stay (we were there for 11 nights) and had to ask for supplies (soap, cream, conditioner, shower cap) conditioner never got filled up so we went to shops and bought our own. This place is very simple and very relaxing. Beautiful staff. One thing that confused us is when we settled the bill at checkout , they asked us if we could donate money to the hospital. We didnt as we were kind of stunned to be asked. Air-conditioning and fans in the room work well.their entertainment guy is funny and full of energy. Real asset to the hotel. Thankyou for having a beautiful place to relax.

Our beachfront bure was beautiful - great bedding, lovely outlook and an excellent shower. And the pool area is attractive with palms, loungers and pleasant views of the reef. But the main restaurant had zero atmosphere with glaring spotlights, dining tables and chairs coloured like a primary school classroom, and loud music playing on a tv (including US Christian fundamentalist singing during Sunday breakfast). The only place for a pre dinner drink felt like an airport waiting room with chairs facing away from the view. This area needs an upgrade to fit the “adult only” resort vibe. And given swimming is near impossible in the shallow waters of the Coral Coast, it would be nice to have more onshore activities for adults. Additional charges for everything from the TV remote, a community charity, a gluten free breakfast option, to giving you the room key!!!

The people at the resort were splendid - very helpful and friendly. The room was spacious and clean. Sadly the food was below par: expensive and mediocre. As the resort is out of any main area - one has to take an expensive cab to eat off the site. The resort is on a coral reef so swimming in the ocean is not an option but fortunately the pool is lovely. Annoyingly one had to get a new code for the wifi everyday. We would like to return to Figi but not at this resort.

It’s good to stay a couple of nights. Prices at the restaurant are quite hight and included breakfast very poor. Overall, it was just good. Staff friendly and helpful.

I recently returned to Tambua Sands Resort earlier this month, my second visit, the first being 20 years ago and it was just as magical as I remembered. The resort is small and intimate, with just 21 bures, giving it a wonderfully peaceful atmosphere. I stayed in an ocean view bure, which was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. As a solo female traveller, I felt 100% safe at all times, both in the resort and exploring the surrounding area. The resort has a genuine “real Fiji” feel, with all local staff who make you feel like part of the family from the moment you arrive. Every team member introduces themselves and remembers your name, you’re never just a guest or a number here. The food at the resort was very good, and for something special, I highly recommend taking a taxi to the Crab Shack for dinner, it’s very reasonably priced with amazing food and a great atmosphere. What really makes Tambua Sands stand out is the people. I couldn’t possibly single out one staff member, from the front-of-house team, kitchen and bar staff, gardeners, activities and tour guides, to the security team and the amazing cleaning staff. Every single person worked together to create a truly welcoming and memorable stay. If you’re looking for a small, authentic, and warm Fijian experience, Tambua Sands is the perfect choice. I will definitely return again.

The prices of the food and drinks were over the top expensive and not enough options for food. The same boring breakfast every day, coco pops, corn flakes, Weet bix, toast, and a small selection of fruit, concentrated juice, tea and coffee long life milk. We ended up eating out most nights and so did other guests. No atmosphere at the resort. I have stayed at the Warwick before and this place disappointed.
