Avis Spacious Oceanfront Studio Condo A3 at Sand Dollar Condominiums

The property was as everyone described - incredible view, decorated and modern, and everything in the cupboards I needed for a 2-week stay. The screened in patio was an incredible place to hang out and read, eat and stare at the ocean. I highly recommend this property! Snorkeling out front was great supplemented by day tours out to other spots.

I really struggled with how to rate the property. First, the owners' communication was great: prompt, straight-forward, complete, with no hidden feeds or unexpected anything. I loved the location. It is on the northwest side of the island, in the Hato area of Kralendijk. Some of the best, most easily accessible snorkeling sites are close (Andrea I and II, 1000 steps) and of course Bari Reef right outside your backdoor. In particular there is a stand of elkhorn coral close to shore at Bari Reef that is not huge, but had so many fish and so much diversity that you practically don't have to go anywhere else to see great things. There are good restaurants close by (Between 2 Buns, Doner Station) although the highest class restaurants are farther away. Nothing is that far away on Bonaire, so this wasn't a problem for me. The condo is nicely decorated and has great infrastructure - there is wonderful water pressure in the shower, the AC works great, the kitchen appliances and TV all worked fine. The towels and sheets are good quality and soft to use. However the condo needs some maintenance - there are a lot of chipped and cracked tiles, as well as a lot of chipped paint and even chipped paint in the ceiling in the kitchen. Seals are falling out of the back screen door. My biggest problem was the bed. You know how a bed will get a hollow place after you sleep in the same location for a few years? The bed has two hollow places where 2 people have slept in it. This is fine if you are coming as a couple. As a solo person used to sleeping in the middle of the bed, there was a ridge in the middle that meant I had to sleep just on one side. I'm not used to that, and kept feeling like I was going to fall out of bed. It wasn't comfortable. Also be aware that there is just a sheet and a duvet cover (no duvet in it). There appeared to be a blanket in a bag in the closet, but the bag was padlocked, so no way to be sure. Next door to the condo, there is heavy construction going on where they are putting up a new building. By 7:30-8 am, there were excavators and bull dozers. Plus there is the noise of the dive shop filling canisters. If you want to sleep in, you will need to sleep with the doors and windows shut and the AC on. If you are good to get up early and don't want an afternoon nap, then you will not have a problem. The condo complex is nicely landscaped and there are a lot of loungers and shaded tables and chairs. Great sunset viewing!

This is our 4th time staying in A3. Can not beat it’s location, especially if you are a scuba diver. Great and fast response from owners- Susan and Scott. A very well equipped condo. We will always stay in this condo when visiting Bonaire.

Everything about our time in Bonaire was great. Sand Dollar and Susan's condo are perfect. Never feel like we have to leave. Everything is right there for great diving & snorkeling.

Very nice studio. Comfortable bed and furniture. Kitchen well-stocked. Nice screened in porch. Great location close to pier for diving.

Well taken care of. Beautiful ocean view. Steps away from dive pier. This place was stocked with lots of little extras like a first aid kit, charcoal grill, coffee filters ect. Everyhing worked as it should. It was very clean. We hope to stay here again!

The best thing about this property is the location. It is just about as close as you can get to Sand Dollar's private beach, pier and dive shop. It is a good size for a studio. The furniture could be more comfortable.

Great property just as described…perfect location for my diving for the week as well as town, restaurants etc…would highly recommend this property and hope to rent from this provider again :)

Not only is the condo excellent, it is located close to the dive shop and an excellent restaurant. Bari reef is very convenient and an outstanding place to dive. I would go out in the morning to dive other sites and always made a dive at Bari in the afternoon and never got tired of it. The condo is in great shape and the property manager was excellent… thank you so much!
