Ishiahara is now my new favorite place in the world. The Ryokan at first seems humble, but the design, layout, and hospitality of it made me feel as if I was staying at the most luxurious hotel in the world. I look forward to staying here again!
The rooms were magnificent. Along with that the staff here was an absolute delight. Welcoming us when we returned and seeing us out the door just as if we were their children leaving for the day. A wonderful Japanese experience. 10 minute walk to tram station and multiple bus stops that will get you anywhere. 6 minute walk to a shopping street littered with people shops, and food alike.
This boutique hotel is exquisite, quiet and beautifully designed with so much attention to detail, the perfect blend between traditional Japanese architecture and modern amenities. I highly recommend it, also due to itâs perfect location, especially for first time Kyoto visitors. The owners of this property were beyond welcoming and helpful.
Amazing stay at t Kyo no Yado Ishihara. Stayed a few nights in the Kura room which is a beautiful, freshly renovated two story villa that will not disappoint. They stock the fridge with local Kyoto beverages and provide some of the best sesame crackers you will ever have. Breakfast is said to be top notch, but unfortunately did not partake.
The three incredibly sweet inn keepers will take care of you, make sure you are greeted when arriving and leave with a friendly sayonara. Stay here if youâre looking for a great ryokan in a convenient location to food and shopping in Kyoto.
