The property was overal great and my wife and i enjoyed our stay. We loved the large shower and the heated floor. There was a lot of ants in the tatami room which we were happy about and the neighbor hood had a lot of commerical activities early in the morning that woke us up. Also the bath auto fill feature was not working and dispayed a 502 error code. I have stayed at other Machiya Inn properties and they were great but this one didnt quite live up to the expectations.

Amazing property with a traditional feel. In quiet suburb of Kyoto but easy access to main sites by local buses. Property was really clean and communication easy. Property reception for check in is not located at the actual property but is relatively easy to navigate between the 2.
