Larnaca town is a mixture of old and new and has a rich archaeological heritage and beautiful centuries old buildings lining winding streets. The sea front and modern marina with its palm tree lined pedestrian promenade offers a great choice of modern shops and trendy open air restaurants and cafe bars. The Larnaca Fort holds the annual street festival in July and there is also a large multiplex cinema which shows all of the latest releases. There are also number of bowling alleys, crazy golf courses, historical churches, museums and small and large go-carting tracks. Ayia Napa with its famous clubbing culture and white sandy beaches also has the nearest water theme park and is within easy reach by car or bus.

The more adventurous can easily explore the island by car and all major attractions, towns and villages are less than an hour’s drive away. Car hire is recommended and all road signs are in English and vehicles drive on the left like in the UK. There are also local bus services and all towns and villages are linked with reasonably priced service taxis. The local camel park nature reserve is just a 5 minute drive away as are horse riding facilities and the avian wildlife of Larnaca Salt Lake. Cape Kiti lighthouse with its stunning sunsets is just a 10 minute drive away and a children's funfair can be found in Larnaca Town which is also just a 10 minute drive away. Ayia Napa is just a 20 minute drive away and the cosmopolitan coastal town of Limassol is just a 25 minute drive away. The divided city of Nicosia is just a 20 minute drive away whilst the Troodos mountains are only a 30 minute drive away. Paphos with its elevated coastline is just a 40 minute drive away and all make for ideal day trips.

Frequent direct flights from all over Europe to Larnaca are readily available and can be booked using a number of main airline operators. Flights from the UK to Larnaca take approximately 4 hours and the time difference of +2 hours should be taken into account. The apartment is literally a 10 minute drive away from the airport and the route is pretty straight forward. Simple to follow map directions and travel guide will be provided before you leave and this route will take you past a 24 hour convenience store allowing for the purchase of essentials such as milk or bread if required.
