So very sad to continue to watch a beloved place to me just rot away. A comfortable clean room and good hospitality is sadly a thing of the past. No valet service or bellhops to be found, room had spiderwebs, dirty comforters that seemed like wadded up sheets , lumpy pillows , cracked and missing bathroom tile grout, old small TV, mini fridge inoperable. During our stay it started raining and water came pouring in throughout the casino as a matter of fact our dinner plans were cancelled because the restaurant had a few inches of water on the floor. Best wishes as I would really love to see this town bounce back but it's going take a miracle

Upon arrival we had a horrible time checking in as they messed up our reservation. Even though we called The Golden Nugget personally on 3 separate occasions, they still managed to mess up our reservation and our initial lady did absolutely nothing to take care of it and said it was our fault. We asked to speak with a manager whom was even more unprofessional and continued to blame the problem on us and even lied and said that we never called, which we did 3 times. They said there was nothing they could do and they refused to help us. Upon bringing our stuff in, they absolutely refused to give us any assistance with a bell hop and stated that was only for the important and rich people, not people like us. As we continued taking our 4 trips to bring up our luggage, they kept laughing at us and snickering at us and that ultimately pissed us off completely! My husband went to the front desk and completely chewed them out for the complete unprofessional behavior and we asked to speak with the general manager of the entire hotel, Jared! Thankfully the general manager lit fire up the desk managers butt and he finally got us half the rooms we asked for, connected, but not the courtyard patio Terrance and ADU that we payed for. Additionally the drama from staff continued as they placed us in rooms that were across from construction which started at 6:00am in the morning which woke up our entire family! We don’t recommend the Golden Nugget!

The room we stayed in was clean, but we noticed maintenance issues. The bathroom had mold building up, the wall had openings/cracks from some type of damage and the vents must have been connected to one of the rooms near us because we could smell when someone else would use their bathroom or smoked. We were lucky that those smells mostly came around when we would go out. Also, the door to enter your room is heavy so be careful because it will slam and make a loud noise that many people will hear; the walls and floors were not as sound proof as we hoped for.

My Dad had a medical emergency, Security was less than sympathetic waiting for the ambulance. I have massive bed bug bites. I didn’t report it as I had other things to deal with. (Dad) We have always stayed at Golden Nugget, I don’t think we will again.

Stayed for three nights absolutely loved it lots of restaurants on site. Lots of restaurants around the property within walking distance. Parking was very easy. Staff was very nice and not too far from the strip if you wanted to go.
