The village, which has its own inn, is totally surrounded by magnificent unspoilt countryside and is an ideal location for touring the whole of the Dales. There are good pubs serving food in the neighbouring villages and the market towns of Leyburn and Hawes offer shops, pubs, restaurants and tea shops.
